Banish “What’s New” from Home Screen
When opening StreamMagic on iPhone 15 Pro (or any other model, iPhone 8, 13, others, I’ve tried a bunch) the useless “What’s New” carousel takes up the entire middle of the screen. NOT SHOWN IN THIS APPSTORE PAGE. There is no way to get rid of this abomination of product marketing self adoration.
What we want: Tell us what’s new when there is something new in an app or device firmware update. Then never again. If we do want to go back in history, we’ll go to the settings page and will expect to find release notes there.
As a result of this atrocious design that even the product marketing team hides from the AppStore screenshots, I don’t use this app. I use Roon and Tidal Connect to avoid ever opening StreamMagic. FIX THIS. DO IT NOW.

Music listening for lazy mind
EVO150 has all for me to enjoy streaming music.
Million musics available thru music service which got me dig in for older albums I remember in young age. You don’t have to look for old vinyl records. Its on my finger tips.
Only hope is some day Cambridge can integrate Apple Music application will be nice. Currently using HDMI input from TV set or Apple play to streaming which can degrade the digital quality.

Shame no cache
Currently every time it’s opened, there’s a wait for it to connect to streamer, determine that hard drive is connected & read it’s contents before displaying on phone screen.
I would suspect the vast majority of users are like me & don’t change hardware status between usage. So therefore playlists etc are the same & could be shown immediately. If a change to the system is detected, then that can be updated once the connection & reading of storage has taken place. The amended list then being cached for next time.
If playlists could be added to favourites that’d be good too. Other ways of searching such as most recent would be welcome.
Most times it connects quickly, but there have been too many times when it doesn’t & I have to switch off & reboot phone to get it to connect.

The app used to work…
These problems started when the icon for the app changed. Now I have to decide to keep the hardware in its hobbled state or switch to something that works. Not sure what that would be.
Very disappointing. Especially since I actually recommended Cambridge to my friends. Not anymore.
Response from developer
Hi, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'd like to be able to solve this major problem. Would you mind contacting us via the feedback section in the app so that our support team can better understand the situation. Our app shouldn't have any affect on the performance of AirPlay at all so we need to ask a few questions, but I'm sure we can get you back up and running. Thanks for your patience, Cambridge Audio
Average and frustrating software
If there was an issue with set up id understand, however, it was all working for a while but then suddenly couldn’t locate the files. No changes had been made, just couldn’t locate my music.
I’ve now given up and have bought an alternative streamer. Which, I hasten to add found my nas and all the music instantly. Such a shame as the product itself is great. I also own the Cambridge cd transport and cxa81 which are so good.
