  • This app is brilliant!

The new paperless approach from Twycross had me a bit disappointed at first (getting a map and following it was part of the trip previously!) but after being advised to download this app I will never look back.

It makes navigating your way around the zoo super simple and convenient and means you will not struggle to find anything ever again.

I visit the zoo very often (slowed in recent years due to the pandemic) and my question is; where has this app been all my life?!

The zoo as per was fantastic but this app just makes it even better.

  • Once a lovely zoo that has lost its sparkle

I have visited Twycross Zoo on a number of occasions over many years. Our visit yesterday was thoroughly enjoyable and the staff friendly and helpful - however, we couldn’t help feeling that a serious injection of money is needed. Covid, no doubt, has not helped, but the zoo is looking a little tired - a number of enclosures were empty and others, that were not, looked like they needed sprucing up. I would not put people off going though, as it’s us, the visitors, who help to provide the funds that are clearly needed.

  • Pointless

What’s the point of a zoo map that doesn’t have the animals on? There’s only paw prints and you need to click each one to see what it signifies
  • It was ok... i guess

It was ok... i guess . It is cool that you can play your day there and check off the places you have been to however the map provided was very confusing and inconvenient. The zoo is great though!
  • Zoo is good. App not so much

The map in the app is very poor. If you’re using it for directions, none of the buildings or attractions on your way are labelled meaning it’s hard to orientate. It doesn’t start from the bottom like most map apps so you also have to work out which direction you’re going in. It’s also impossible to get an overview as it’s very small scale and you have to click on each circle to see what it is. I’m sure it has its uses but it’s nowhere near as good as the old paper map (which is no longer available). I suggest taking a photo of a map board and using that, instead

  • Awesome zoo

Greatest array of monkeys and apes i have ever seen , well set up zoo had a great time
  • Twycross Hallowe’en

The price for the Boo at the Zoo was great - £15 each adult and £10 for a child- but other than a few pumpkins scattered and a free sticker didn’t see anything especially Hallowe’eny. Wet day so a lot of animals inside (not an issue, its what anyone would expect in October!) and a few shops and eateries closed. Advertised were a few special events like broomstick riding and witch stories- saw nothing. Good day out but not in a rush to return.

  • Map is useless

I support TZ in not providing single use paper maps but this is not a valid alternative. The interactive map is useless for navigating around the zoo as locations are not named unless you click on them individually. It is impossible to orientate yourself without having landmarks marked on the map.
The addition of a simple PDF map with everything marked on it would vastly improve the app.
