Scanning improvements: • The camera view has been enlarged. It is full-height on an iPad and full-screen on an iPhone or iPod touch. • Crosshairs let you center the barcode in the camera view. • The camera view adjusts dynamically if you rotate the device while scanning. • In addition to Code 39 barcodes, Code 128 barcodes, and QR codes, you can now scan Code 39 Mod 43 barcodes, which are Code 39 barcodes with a checksum character. • Barcodes are recognized more quickly. A slight delay is built-in so you can pan across a barcode on the way to the barcode you want to scan. • The iOS prompt for permission to access the camera does not appear until the first time you tap a Scan button. • Barcodes that were previously recognized off-center are now recognized in the center of the camera view. • You can now scan staff ID barcodes. • The device orientation is now correctly identified when the first scan is in landscape orientation. • The camera view is automatically dismissed if you leave the app. Other improvements: • New instructions guide you through the initial app setup. • Dark Mode is supported. • If you are unable to log in, Argus Mobile checks for the likely causes and displays specific messages in each case. For example, it can recognize when there is an incorrect Login ID/Password, an incorrect server address, an incorrect Database ID, or an incorrect server configuration. • On the Server screen, the Database id is now called Database ID to match the administrator's Databases Options screen. • Spaces are no longer allowed in the text fields on the Server screen. • On the Move tab, the Return to Last Permanent Location button is no longer enabled before you set the Done By value.
