Cannot recover app on new phone
Would give more stars if we can recover the old chats to the app in the new phone

great app, very safe, i love how they respond to everyone’s reviews and actually add things that people are requesting for. i have no problem with the app apart from the fact that videos won’t load?? whenever i send a video or get sent a video, it won’t load and im not sure how to fix this
Version 2.8.0 & 2.8.1 on iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 15.8.3)
My Path (basically like the "jumps" the app takes through the Session network) takes an infinite amount of time to load - meaning my app is not even able to make a connection to the Session network = app does not work. Very poor intel softwares! From a little researching online I have read a desktop Version has also suffered from this defect in a build number, though that was corrected on the following Version of the Desktop app. Two stars for the fact that a fix may be on its way? .... Update :: Version 2.8.1 has not fixed the problem :/

I like sessions so I want it to get better
I suggest changing the sent status of the message and whether it has been viewed (read status display) to only appear under the last message, no need to give each message that has been viewed Viewed messages are marked below. Just like Apple iMessage, a read mark will be displayed under the last message that has been viewed. This indicates that all the messages above have been read. The current session will mark the bottom of each read message. A status that has been read or sent.

Now, of course complete anonymity is unattainable - however, with “zero data collected” as-indicated on the App Store, this is by far the most secure.
Put up against competitors, I have found that even AI agrees (taking into consideration privacy policies). Routed through several Tor nodes, fully-encrypted, and no user:pass credentials - just a long, randomly-generated identifier string.
As an “expert” myself, this application blows such as Telegram, Signal completely out of the water. You can’t get much more secure, unless you can develop your own messaging service.

Great messaging app if you’re feeling like more privacy. But please update the icon to support dark mode on iOS 18
I like it because of the anonymous communication based on blockchain
But it seems that it still has some imperfections. For example: the file size that can be sent is limited to 10M. Currently, its online voice/video call function is almost difficult to successfully connect. I hope developers can separate the voice and video call functions. Because voice calls have lower network connection quality requirements than video calls, it will help users with poor Internet environments to use voice calls instead of video calls that require extremely high network quality. I hope to limit the sending time of recordings in messages. Extension 00:02:59 It seems that it is not enough to describe my thoughts. It may be better to increase it to 5 minutes. Also, during the recording of voice messages, the device will lock the screen and unlock the screen. The original recording action is terminated before recording. The voice message disappears.

Best available truly private messenger
After successfully using Session for 1 year I can honestly say it is the best truly private solution for secure messaging on the entire App Store. It is increasingly becoming my primary means of contact and I have zero intentions switching back to the current trash most have surrendered to. Great craftsmanship from the smart brains behind the Loki Project. Big congratulations to everyone involved keep up the great work.
