Ridiculously good for amateur audiophiles
I was hesitant to buy this because I didn’t assume it would be any good. Let’s be clear, this is an app, it isn’t a full DSP unit, but it is ridiculously good for what it is.
I have an Auralic Aries with a parametric equaliser. I have no idea what frequency in my room was causing the sound to be more lean than I’d have expected with my Spendor D7.2 floor-standers. I plan to purchase some room treatments in time so thought this wouldn’t be worth it, but boredom struck and I decided to buy the app and have a play. The app sends out a test tone and then gives you a reading which you can easily slide a bar across to see which frequencies your peaks and dips are. Using these figures I adjusted the EQ in the streamer to slightly bump the dips, and IMMEDIATELY the sound was more balanced, less lean and nicer overall.
I listen to a huge range of music, electronic is my go to which sounded great except for older D&B. This nicely helped edge the sound closer to what I’m after, the same with heavy metal, that got a nice bump in the low end which hugely helps how it sounds. Everything already sounded great, but this tweak has improved all other areas as the sound is much more balanced making for an even better experience.
I’m genuinely amazed at how easy this is to you use but more so how valuable it is when you have access to an EQ where you can just type in the frequency you want to adjust. I’m delighted and this is just the start of my journey, when the room treatments come (much later in 2022), it’ll be put to use to help adjust the new peaks and dips created in room.
If you are an audiophile with very little knowledge in this area, and your kit has an EQ, this is a must have, if anything just to satisfy our tweaking bug!

Fantastic! Exactly what I was looking for.
At last I’ve been able to properly set up my subwoofer. It all sounds so much better now. Thank you.
Wonderful App for aiding audio improvements!
This is a wonderful app that has brought great improvements to my system and enhanced listening pleasure within my room. With the help of this app I’ve been able to make tweaks to my system (e.g. adjusting speaker placement, tweaking the settings of my audio source, etc.) and then analyse (and reanalyse) the frequency sweep to see the difference it’s making.
Hopefully leading to an opportunity for improving the app, I’m finding at the moment (with the app installed on my iPhone 7 Plus) that a connection (via Airplay) to my Bluesound Node 2i isn’t always made... and then when I press ‘Measure’ it starts to play music from my Apple Music account instead of playing the sweep tone! Perhaps this is down to Apple’s heavy-handed software biasing audio playback to its own Apple Music app!
Is there a way to fix the issue in the app and make the connection more reliable?
Despite the above I’m still giving this app a glowing 5 star review as I’m confident any little bugs will be resolved, given the already high quality of the app.
Compliments to the developer and would recommend this app to all audio enthusiasts.

Response from developer
Thanks for the feedback! Some other users have reported that Apple Music interrupts measurements when using AirPlay. The common thread is Bluesound hardware. One suggestion is to try updating the Bluesound firmware. Disabling AirPlay Handoff on your device by going to Settings -> General (iOS 15 or newer) may also help. Feel free to reach out to me at support@housecurve.com for additional help.
Great and simple
Used this to tune my newly installed speakers and crossovers in my car using just my iPhone, and within 5 minutes I was in audio nirvana. Money well spent.
Useful tool
For anyone owning a graphic equalizer, this is a great resource for tweaking your system to compensate for changes to your system or room acoustics. For example I rearranged an upholstered sofa and it really threw off my upper frequency response. I had an odd hole at around 125hz that I have now adjusted with the equalizer. Love this app!
