Reviews of Big Ass Fans

  • Just Upgraded, hope im not Sorry

Our fan is under a large covered area surrounding our pool. It’s a 72” and beyond that I can’t tell you the particulars. I do think we could have used a larger fan, but we originally bought it for a smaller area. But, it does a fabulous job even I this larger area. Don’t way to ever be without it. It’s quiet. Doesn’t wobble, and looks like a totally professional fan, which it really is. Our daughter has had one of the enormous ones for years in her pavilion, and she recommended this company. Really, it’s worth it to have a piece of equipment that works well and is reliable and efficient. My husband would write this review in more technical terms, but I’m wow’d by it. Wish I had them inside, as well. I might add that it is mounted on a diwn rod maybe 30” in length under a vaulted ceiling, so there is some protection for it. It has survived strong Oklahoma winds and storms. It’s a winner!
  • Three for three!

We have three of these fans in our house a six footer, a seven footer, and a haiku. They work wonderfully. Very quiet, extremely reliable, and the best part to me is the temperature target feature. We live in South Florida, where the humidity can be a problem, but having air movement money on air-conditioning and keeps the temperature at a “feels like” setting and it has saved our air from running all day long.

They are also quite attractive and easy to install. Pricewise they are significantly more than what you find at a big box store, but performance wise, they outlast them three or four to one, or considerably more substantial structurally, and have features that the cheaper ones just don’t.
  • Interesting Remote

After six years I finally put up my living room fan, with help from an electrician neighbor. He also installed the wall switch so am able to use my cell or IPad as the remote.
I’ve run into one issue and that is when I use the remote to turn on my TV sound bar the fan turns on as well… so they must be on the same frequency. Not sure if anything can be done. It’s a minor issue but kind of a pain none the less.
Still giving the fan five stars tho as it runs perfectly.
