This app has inspired me to keep going

I started using this app as a part of a team challenge. Once the team challenge was over I wanted to keep going. I joined other teams and created new teams. If you’re a team workout type of person or just a competitive person this app will help you with your goals.

Joining Go Joe gave me purpose

I have been meaning to up my exercise for some time. Since Go Joe went live for the two week challenge I have been completing my steps at work and continuing my bike ride to complete at least 10,000 or more steps in week one total 78,940. I aim to continue this when the challenge finishes

Great way to get on track!!!

Just started using the App. It’s a great way to hold yourself accountable! And compete with your friends.

Great idea but very glitchy

We had this for work and I really love the concept - much better than a step counter. The issue was mainly it didn’t deliver on the promise - on a few occasions it dropped signal in urban areas but as the timer continued so your speed was off, then a few times the pause/resume stop functionality didn’t work so you had to close the app, lose what you had tracked and manually add. For me under performed in the basics so even though the team, chat and gamification is great - the fundamentals are not good enough. Wouldn’t recommend until it’s more reliable.

The Best activity tracking app on the market

I’ve been using activity tracking apps for years and GoJoe blasts the rest out the water. I used it for a work activity challenge and it really helped motivate me with its gamification to do a little bit more each day, the team behind the app are great, they take on user feedback which helps improve the experience for everyone and I love using it now the work challenge is done to try new activities I’ve never tried before. Highly recommend.

Great app

Easy to use, great for team or individual challenges. Definitely recommend!

The perfect app for employee engagement

Initially, I had doubts about whether this would resonate at work. However, it quickly became apparent that this was exactly what our company needed. I have never witnessed our global organisation, consisting of numerous separate offices, come together so enthusiastically in an effort to accumulate as many points as possible. This application has succeeded in getting the business energised, and communicating more than ever, while getting fitter! Plus you get the sense that the founders of GoJoe genuinely want to have as much impact as possible so are constantly listening to users and making the necessary improvements.

I’m hooked

We are using GoJoe at the moment for a month long fitness challenge at work. The personalised email each week showing the activities and prizes mean competition is high and so are the stakes! A really fun way to encourage the team to get active and interact with one another. The app works well and is simple enough for most people to get to grips with.

Good app but an obvious issue

Why does this app have a space for NFTs? What part of a fitness app inspires a need for scams that are terrible for the environment? If I weren’t using the app in relation to work I would have deleted the app for this alone.

As far as the fitness portion of the app goes, it works well and it is easy to add in activities. It’s also easy to see work challenges and groups. The fact that it doesn’t require you to have a fitness tracker makes the app an accessible option for people who want to keep track of their fitness without a purchase.

The app would be 5 stars without the NFT space. Make in-app badges the go-to as a replacement so people can show off without trashing the environment for a jpg that you can save yourself.

Response from developer

Hi S. Thanks so much for your message. Our app is all about motivating ordinary joes to get and stay fit, and thanks very much for your kind comments about our inclusivity and integration. We love hearing this from our users. We built GoJoe because we felt that existing fitness apps were elitist and individualistic, whilst workplace team challenge products (step challenges) were not inclusive, not engaging and not motivational. We have used tokens in a small way as part of the GoJoe app, as a novel way of 'gamifying' certain aspects of people's fitness journeys. Whilst this doesn't relate to the workplace product, it enables our users to gain genuine value from exercising - i.e. to use those tokens to gain rewards, discounts and offers. With regards the environmental concerns, the technology we use with regards this small part of our app is layer 2.0, which means that any environmental impact is negligible. It's a super important point and one we are extremely conscious of. Thanks again for getting in touch and if you'd like to speak to us, please email us at info@gojoe.com ;).

Could be made simpler to use

Currently using the app for a corporate exercise challenge with some 120 teams of 7. The challenge is designed to encourage exercise by those who don’t normally do so, so it is important that the app is easy to access and use for those who aren’t at the top of the leaderboard
I find it surprisingly difficult to find information that I’m looking for. Adding a team member after the challenge had started required intervention from app support to do it.
Finding what teams are around you requires scrolling through the leaderboard, which loads slowly 10 at a time. It seems that the only way to access information on how individual team members are doing is to access the team through the leaderboard - why is it not possible to search for the team and access its info that way? It would be good to be able to search for a team or individual and then view the section of the leader board they are in and their stats without having to go through the leaderboard

Thanks for your review. A team member can join a team after a premium challenge has started by using the challenge code, locating the team and pressing 'join team'. The team and solo leaderboards can also be searched - there's a button to the right hand side of the word 'leaderboard' which brings up filter and search options. That said, we think everything can be improved in life and have an idea how we can make the button stand out more and so you can see those hard earned kms - we'd love an opportunity to run that by you and to provide further guidance. Would you be able to email phil@gojoe.com so that we can connect?
