Not too clear on settings
App works great after you edit the settings on your phone/tablet to allow ‘local network’. Allow this and it’s up in minutes, otherwise you can lose patience.
The worst app of ALL time.
i’m returning this asap. the app makes this dash cap useless. the app feels like it’s from 2005. i can’t watch live, and most importantly i can’t view ANY of the previous video recordings. extremely disappointing. especially for a $300 product. do not waste your time!!!!
App doesn't know it's connected. Please fix.
I have the older camera. This app worked fine until I had to re-new the wifi connection. Enabled via the camera menu and successfully connected my phone but that's as far as it gets. The app won't acknowledge the camera is connected, I'm unable to access any of it's contents.
This app is so bad
The camera is great, but the app is horrible. It takes 10 minutes to review a one minute video, the app doesn’t connect to your phone often at all. The app makes buying this camera not worth it at all. Update the app and this product would be far more than worth it.
VERY DISAPPOINTING
I have tried to connect my iPhone to the dash cam. The dash cam is linked to the app; but it will not connect to be able to view/download videos. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Works but slow.
I am not having the problem the other are having. The camera is a DRV-A610R21CA bundle and I am using a iPhone Max 13 and I allowed gps tracking based on the other messages here. The app is really really slow. I have to click on full screen to see the live stream which isn't very useful. The update caused a change in the power boot on the Kona 2023 EV, the camera only now starts with the car in drive mode, not accessory, which made me think the update broke the device, when its was just a change in functionality.

Need to do better
Bough a set of two cameras but the app needs improvement, WiFi link no always work, have to reset & video playing doesn’t work unless you download the video. Please fix all these issues
App is total junk
I purchased the DVR-A310W. I installed the app manager and it finally hooked up after 6 or 7 tries. After running the cord and getting everything installed, I tried to run the app on my iPhone 14 again and no luck. I’ve tried everything except read the reviews. Since I expected to pair my phone with this decent camera with a trash app to run it, needless to say I’m returning the hole thing. To me, the app makes this product complete garbage.

Total piece of garbage app
You’d think if you could make a camera that works well, an app surely couldn’t be too hard. Wrong! Piece of unusable garbage. F for effort, Kenwood. Pathetic
