The app is crap
I’m sorry but this app is completely lost and should be revised. Why did you guys release and camera and made the app so bad. I can’t even open a video without it loading for so long. And if I click something else like INFO the app starts loading again. Please try to review your comments it fix it. Please!!!!!

TURN OFF CELLULAR DATA
Struggled with this app that I wanted to break the camera and my IPhone lol, Disable cellular data for this app or else it will not work for IPhone, my videos are set to 3 min therefore it takes a few minutes to upload. So far it’s working fine.
Turn off cellular data and it works
Thankfully somebody in another review said to turn off cellular data to get the camera to connect. That fixed my never ending spinning wheel issue. Thank you! It ain’t pretty but it works now.
This App does not work!
I have spent 2 hours trying to get this app to pull anything from the camera without success! It connects on the WiFi without issue, but nothing past that!
Great camera, horrible app
I hope that someone views this review before getting this camera. If your goal is to easily view your past footage, or save it into your phone, then this app will make it a night mare to do so. Yes, it saves your videos in great quality, but viewing them is very annoying. It will play the video for 10 seconds, then stop for 5 minutes to load. Saving them into your phone does not put the videos into your camera roll, but saves them into the app. This process takes forever, and most of the time the download fails even after waiting for 15 minutes. Not to mention that the app constantly crashes if you do things too quickly on it. Had I’d known the app for this camera was this bad, I would’ve went with a different company.

Useless
It just gets stuck in a connection loop that says “please wait” and it never connects. Says the device is connected, but can’t see any of my videos. Can’t get the live view that’s advertised either. The app is so bad I’m going to return the dash cam.

App regularly crashes doing anything within it, repeatedly. Uninstalling/reinstalling does nothing, as does every other fix I’ve tried looking up. For the price of the cams, you’d think they’d have their stuff together. Going to look into another company that actually works.
App and Camera Update fixed issues
Kenwood had some issues with the camera and the app. They seem to have straighten that out with firmware updates to the camera and it works great. You have to make sure the camera isn’t recording or you can’t get into the menu to sync it up. Once I figured that out (by reading the instructions) it worked great.

Iphone 12 does not work
Does not connect to my iPhone 12. We. You click connect it goes straight to the "allow kenwood dashcam to access" page in the iPhone settings. All settings are selected as allow always. I can get the phone to connect to access point the dashcam creates but that's it. Please fix, this is one of the reasons I bought this dashcam.

Excellent App!
Contrary to the negative reviews submitted here, the app is - in fact - quite reliable and easy to use. I followed the instructions on the iPhone to the letter and was reviewing dashcam files in less than five minutes. It took me a few minutes longer to learn how to download a file to my iPhone but having done it once I am confident I could do it again quite easily if needed. I suspect that the negative reviewers were doing something incorrectly: maybe trying to connect with Bluetooth rather than the inbuilt WiFi of the dashcam itself(?)
