  • ID

I really like this app because of the way it’s tying to teach finance to younger people especially if they didn’t get that much education on it in school. I only gave this app 2 stars though because it ask you for your ID (driver’s license, identity card, passport) which is not that safe throwing your information around on an app. And if you can’t earn money then what’s really the point of getting this app. In addition this app says it’s for 12+, teens are not going to have an ID card. I know it’s for safety purposes but someone hacking into your account and taking $5 is not a big deal. Personally I don’t think sharing your personal info on this app for $5 you could find on the street is worth it but for the leading experience then yes!

  • Made it to $50 gc

This is a good educational financial tool. It takes a lot of time to read, earn points and to earn rewards. I received all the rewards gift cards with no issues. However When I made it to $50 gc after tons of hours spent, tried to redeem and then they told me that I had too many emails and phone numbers associated with the account and could be fraudulent so they declined the reward. If they checked, all my rewards were sent to the same email and number associated with it. IDK if they just don’t wanna pay out the higher gc or what. So u less you just want to learn or get the lower amount gc, I wouldn’t recommend spending/wasting any more time on it. Time to delete.

  • Perfect, but with a catch.

I don't really ever write reviews for apps, but I felt the need because Zogo has certainly been a unique experience. It has a friendly interface with seemingly free rewards for learning! I've already accumulated enough in-app currency to exchange for a $5 gift card after just about 30 minutes However, I must "verify" my account by showing a photo of my drivers license or passport. Not only is this sketchy, it's Zogo's only way to get your rewards. It is safe to assume that they would turn around and sell your information, because there's no other way their business plan would be profitable. While the information is very helpful, I would not use it with the goal of getting quick cash.

  • Why

Why do I have to send a photo of an identity card, Driver’s license, or passport to redeem a gift card? I redeemed my first gift card with no problem. Why has this been added? Bots? This is 13+. Why do you do that? It’s impossible or not easy for teens 13-16 to have these things. What is this? I am not submitting my personal stuff just to redeem a gift card. You guys teach us about safety and now you’re pulling our safety away. I sent this app to my sibling and 2 cousins. They’ve signed up and have been working their way up to their first gift card and you’re expecting this from them? Two of them are 13, the other is 14. How would they have access to those things? And why would their parents submit that type of stuff to an app? I’m telling them to log off this app, as will I. Things need to change.

    Developer Response

Hey Flowergirl! Wow such a thoughtful review. We appreciate your passion for Zogo! Stripe ID checks are in place to help prevent reward fraud. Without it many users would create multiple accounts and gift cards would always be sold out. Stripe ID checks help us ensure each person is only making one account and that they truly are from the United States. Rewards come from US banks/credit unions so it wouldn't be fair if we sent them to anyone else.
  • Love it!!!

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would! I wish these lessons were around when I was in high school. In fact , I wish learning establishments would have their students use this app to learn. It’s very engaging and earning rewards makes learning financial literacy even better. It motivates you a little more. Also the way that it is broken down and then the little quizzes to test your knowledge are sooo helpful!

  • Asking for a bit too much personal info

I like Zogo- I don’t find anything bad about their modules and quizzes. But recently I’ve gotten enough pineapples for a gift card. When I tried to redeem it though, it asked for verification with either my ID, passport, or driver’s license. As most of you know, this is some pretty sensitive info, which could easily be used maliciously. I don’t think it’s very fun to be forced to put my trust into an app that I don’t yet know the legitimacy of, and I know many other people who feel this way too. Also, I heard that they didn’t always ask for this information…

So, in my opinion, this app would be great would it not be for the personal information they ask for.

  • It’s great but…the verification

Hii I really like this app I learnt a lot of what they haven’t taught us at school but I was gonna look at all the gift cards you could redeem and then I saw something that said unverified account when my account is verified and when I tap on get started and I just don’t like we have to put all our information in even if y’all don’t keep and my parents are not comfortable with taking a picture of their drivers license etc since that’s really personal and anything could happen with it I understand why you don’t want scammers etc but please make there another way to do this verifications it’s a good app and I learned many things and it’s very educational but I was really hoping to get some gift cards too :(

  • Didn’t get my Gift Card

I got recommended to use this app, and saw that it had worked for my sibling. So I thought why not give it a try. It worked awhile back for my sister. She went to her email, and boom, it was their. That may have been some time ago (I’m not to sure). When I got it and finally reached my goal for the gift card, I bought it, and didn’t end up getting. So I decided to wait 3 days, since some people didn’t get it until then. I waited the 3 days and my gift card has yet to get here. It’s been more than 3 days now and I’ve still yet to receive it. Plus, when I check Zogo, it says I bought it. I even tried to send them email about it and they didn’t respond. I’ll keep waiting I guess, just so In case I do end up getting it.

  • THIS APP IS AMAZING

This app is amazing me a (13) is learning so much that could be great for me in the future and earning gift cards just learning about it and it actually gives gift cards that interest me like Barnes and nobles gift cards and Starbucks and all you have to do Is answer like 5 questions each time you learn a new unit. This app is amazing and I even recommend it to older people in college like it’s gives you information about college that school doesn’t even give you… :)

  • Really easy to learn extremely important life skills!

I am so impressed with this app, truly. This app makes it so easy to learn about financial life skills that you would otherwise never learn unless you sought it out. I was not too confident in my knowledge when downloading the app but surprisingly knew a few cool things that were mentioned in the first module I completed, though the second module I’m on is way out of my area of expertise so I’m learning a ton!

There are so many different things you can learn and the quizzes are given in such a way that helps you retain the information well.

I’m very excited to continue learning with this app!
