  • Latest update adds another star.

I originally rated BFX2 as two stars because I found the determination to make me pay hundreds of dollars to get what I already had with BFX1. The initial package made it difficult to justify dumping BFX1 + Bias Amp 2. The latest update has partially addressed this by offering a bit more at each level. Hence one more star. I still don't intend dumping the full BFX1 package which I already own.

Hi there, we are sorry about the issue you have encountered. In order to transfer your BIAS FX 1 expansion packs successfully, please be sure that both FX 1 & 2 are installed on the same device, make sure to update to the latest version of BIAS FX 1 (1.9.10.4431) then follow these steps: 1) Open BIAS FX 1, go to Settings -> Restore Purchase. 2) Back to Settings -> Redeem -> Restore Redeemed Products. 3) Open BIAS FX 2, go to Settings -> Transfer In-App Purchases -> tap on the “Transfer In-App Purchases”. It should open your BIAS FX 1 then go back and pops out a “Transferred Success” msg. This should transfer any of the Effects Powerhouse Pack/Acoustic Pack/Studio Rack Pack/Bass Pack/Metal Signature Pack/Essential Analog Effects Pack/Classic From 60’s Pack to your BIAS FX 2. Please refer to our product FAQ (https://www.positivegrid.com/bias-fx-mobile#faq) if you have any other issues, or contact our support team. Thank you.
  • Am I missing something? (Scarlett Solo compatibility)

Maybe I’m overlooking it, but there seems to be no “input 2” anywhere in the options menu. My interface is the very popular Focusrite Scarlett Solo which has two inputs - channel 1 is strictly for microphones & channel 2 is for instruments. So with no option to switch to the 2nd input signal the app can’t recognize my guitar (or at least that seems to be the issue as far as I can tell). This is not an issue with AmpliTube or Bias - both of those processors allow the user to chose between Input 1/ Input 1 & 2 / or just Input 2.

Devs, if I’m overlooking something please tell me because I’d love to use this app. I’m just thankful that I didn’t spring for the paid version right off the bat.

  • Nice!

It's nice that I can share the tone between PC and iPad by using the tone cloud. Since the UI and the features are similar to the PC version I could use the app easily. And I also like the snapshot feature.
I hope that the midi support is implemented soon. If I want to use the midi controller or the expression pedal I still have to use BIAS FX 1. If the midi support is implemented than this app will be my favorite app for live.

  • Perfect

This is truely a great app for home guitarists like me. Not sure why people complain about in-app purchases, stick with the garageband stuff if you don’t want to pay for quality. The only downer is that things I purchased on the desktop version (eg professional) are not included and need to be purchased again for iOS. Despite that the app is great, it works perfect with Bias Amp 2 and other apps and even a non-professional guitarist like me can get amazing tones out of Bias FX 2.

Now all I need is my Spark amp please!

  • A bit disappointed

Hey PG Team, I have heavily forked out a lot on Bias FX2 on desktop and wanted to create a mobile rig using the iOS version. The app has great features, however I am quite disappointed with my purchase just now. I was quite excited with the release and I went to buy a midi controller to use it with the app. I found out There is no midi support!

Your website mentioned that you need to upgrade to professional version, which I just did and still no support. After much digging, I figured out that it was only a support thread for the desktop. It was not clear how the information was presented. I am beginning to consider whether I should really pursue having a mobile rig with the whole Bias FX 2 workflow ?😭

Hi there, we are sorry for the long wait, please update to the newest 1.1.1 version, it support both virtual (BLE) and cabled MIDI connection. Thank you!
  • 3 stars ‘cause it’s unfinished.

3 stars ‘cause it’s unfinished. I wouldn’t have made the move from BFX1 had I known none of my switches or expression pedal would work. I need that MIDI support to play live. Other than that , I really dig the interface. I like having a nice, friendly, unobtrusive mute button down in the corner. Sounds as good as ever and I still love the routing. Gonna bump it to 5 stars if ever the MIDI gets corrected. I really thought that would be a no-brainer that was needed at launch. Maybe I’m the only one?

  • No way to listen on AirPods while playing

Downloaded the trial version to try this out as I’d been hearing lots of good things about Positive Grid recently, but so far I’ve been unable to have the app output to my AirPods. The amp and FX sims sound good, and seem to work well so long as I only want to listen via my iPad speakers, but that makes it pretty useless for me overall. I’ll update me review if this gets fixed in an update, but until then I’ll need to find my mobile guitar FX solutions elsewhere.

I feel like starting a coalition within the brotherhood for the better cause towards the better good towards that which is right.

Let our continuing chants be heard and unite for the cause.

Hi, we will see what we can do in the future updates, thanks for your feedback and suggestion.
  • Can’t give it fewer stars

Terrible app. Buggy. Crashes. Feedback issues. Search functions in tone cloud don’t work. Tones are not significantly better than original BiasFX. Spelling mistakes throughout the interface. Badly written, rushed software. Will be trying to get my money back for the upgrade I bought in the app
