Shocking

Just save yourself the anger and frustration of trying to use this app or their machines. You’ll leave with a dud app, no charge and several £25-£40 pre-authorisations on your bank account…. Useless and annoying

Incorrect charger means there’s no way to charge

The registration process is unnecessarily complicated (why even ask for a passport?) and contactless doesn’t seem to work on the machine (tried with phone and 2 cards). The instructions on the machine seem to be for a different machine. Even after going through the pain of registration, the device’s location is incorrect on the map (Sidmouth Ham West) so despite having the car plugged into the charger, the app says you’re not close enough so there’s no way to charge. I wonder how many hours of people’s time you’ve wasted?

Pointless App

Tried in 3 different locations to use the Wenea system over the past 2 weeks and each time all I get from the app is that I’m not close enough to use the system. I think 12” away from the charger and plugged in qualifies as close enough.

Horrible app and business practices

I used the Wenea app to charge a rental car. The car was plugged in correctly and I chose the “fill up” option instead of manually stopping it in the app because I was shopping.

When I returned to the car there was only 30km additional available, but the app said it delivered 7.6Kwh! When I reached out to support they said the electric was delivered. My reply “So you don’t own the bugs in your app?”

What’s the point of an app that can’t register UK cards, contactless worked on the actual unit but that’s nothing to write home about is it….

Hi, We’ve checked your user and the card has not been linked correctly. Let’s try a few things: 1. When you add your card, make sure you open your bank app because you must authorize 0,01€. That amount is refunded later when the system verifies the card. Once you authorized that “payment”, go back to the Wenea app. 2. Make sure that your credit card has the 3D Secure (3DS) verification activated. 3. Verify if you have the latest Android version (12) or iOS version and the latest app version (2.1.1). 4. You can also use two different phones, so Wenea app stays open n during the whole process. If you have any problems trying to register your credit card following these steps you can also try adding another credit card or debit card from a different bank, or either a money card/virtual credit card (Vivid, bnext, etc). If you can tell us to which bank do the credit card belongs, it would be really helpful for us to find a solution to the problem. If you try all of the above and still have the same issue, you can always contact us at our customer services number (02081249900) and we’ll try our best to assist you.

No puedo cargar mis datos de pago

Sigo los pasos tal y como me indican sin cerrar la pagina, pero en ese momento recibo aviso a través del móvil de mi tarjeta autoriza el cargo temporal de 1 céntimo, y al autorizarlo la app se queda en blanco y no se termina que guardar la tarjeta en mi perfil.

Lo he intentado tres veces, pero desisto.

Atrocious as per other reviews

simply does not work with my in app card verification / the awful javascript pushing my card details to a spanish website does not like my round trip to the natwest app to approve the transaction. funny that payment systems developers haven’t heard about sepa fraud requirements. Charging won’t work either with contactless card without the app. ended up moving the car to nearby tesco with podpoint :) this was the most horrible ev charging experience i had in three years

Just awful

After several attempts n tweaking my phone settings every which way, it won’t register my credit card - but it has charged me several pennies for trying lol

Twice I’ve been promised a call back, nothing even weeks later. Trying to suss the opaque instructions on the machine was impossible until I visited again and there happened to be an engineer fixing the machine (whose instructions didn’t appear on screen) - and then it cut out randomly n stops charging, and I get a call from my bank saying the transaction is fraudulent… Pointless product, and you need an engineer handy to even begin - and even then the system doesn’t work, and no one in the payments department wants to call you.

Utterly rubbish

I don’t understand why local councils are using this company! The app is awful and gives error messages most of the time, preventing you from charging. The posts are almost always out of use. Oxford made a huge mistake using this company!
