App is Broken
The server for getting past the sign up page is broken and they aren't responding to support inquiries. I had already paid for an annual pass and now can't access it.
Took my money then stopped working
I realize that software development is a process. I tried using it and then the app froze. I logged out then I couldn’t log back in. I uninstalled and reinstalled and then I couldn’t log back in and people stopped responding on the Support chat. Do better guys.
Fees and bugs
You are charged fees due to their negligence and then when you try to pay the fees the payment won’t even go through, leaving you with no bike. Also, you are supposed to get a discount for using Mastercard but it doesn’t actually happen. Also, as others have said, the app regularly glitches. Usually, waiting a minute and restarting it will fix it, but at some point it might not and you’ll have to walk while you contact support (like I did). If you are staying for more than a week, just buy a bike and sell it back to the store when you’re done.

Great idea and locations, app quality not good.
BiciPlaya is a great service granted you have patience with the application. it frequently freezes doesn’t find the bikes. You’ll have to restart it several times. Even when you lock a bike, it doesn’t register you’ll have to log out of the app and then log back in. It’s just generally unstable. Biking around Playa is very pleasant and the bikes are in decent shape.

This is a great service but it needs more locations to park and shop!
Terrible App ruins Bicycle Experience
Wanted to like Biciplaya because it sounds great to just grab a bike and go from one place to another in town. But, I can't recommend it. The app is a mess. Signing up is a headache with too many forms, and I kept getting error messages. Also, they charge you 129 pesos for 24 hours, even if you just want a quick ride. And if you hit the cancel button by mistake, your day pass is gone with no warning, forcing you to buy another. Overall, it's a bad experience. The app needs a lot of work to be good. Right now, it feels like they didn't really think about making it easy for us to use. I'd say skip it until they fix these issues.

Expect to spend to have to trouble shoot every time
Had I not met people to explain what to do when : 1) it would not accept my personal info ie birthday… app instructs you to lie about your age because it won’t accept people over 50. 2)it wouldn’t scan the code…try typing the bike #, still won’t scan? Refresh the app (on iPhone slide up halfway on screen then push up ) then reopen app. Close out the add and scan. Wait to hear click of unlocking. When you finish you manually lock by the back tire. Rate and close
