  • Great find for family arrangement

Got this app as a experiment as the family just got a new puppy to look after over 3 houses. All 5 members have the app and constantly updating our events and work schedules. Gives us a day to day look into who is free for doggy sitting. Takes a little bit of messing about to understand how it works. But soon as you work with the app we all add in events with ease. We have all been using this app for 2 months and can't live without it. This is a great help in keeping the dog under supervision instead of leaving the dog in the house alone. Its a must have when it's come to group arrangements.

  • Horrible set up

My friends and I were going to use this to coordinate our schedules but the set up requires 3 friends before you can even get into the app, and is not intuitive when it comes to adding friends. We ended up deleting it and finding another one.

Requiring 3 linked friends before you can even access the app is one of the most asinine, ridiculous things I’ve ever seen in my life.

This is a stupid app and I’m glad we realized that quickly. -12/10 do not recommend.

We’ve seen that our users have a much better experience on our app if their friends join at the start too, so we’re encouraging users to add friends when they sign up so they can get straight to sharing time and planning together 😊 The process to get onto Howbout should be to add friends and send links, so if this didn’t feel intuitive to you, please drop us an email at feedback@howbout.app
  • Designed like a virus

This app is designed to be non-functional until you’ve given it full access to everything in your calendar and everyone you know. That might be fine if I already trusted the app, or I’d already knew it does what I want, but I’m not going to start inviting my friends/ family to use an app that I don’t know already works. It takes a special kind of arrogance to think you get access to everyone I know just because I downloaded a stupid app…

Everything else is optional 🙌
  • Loveee app but very glitchy

Love this app, been using for months now no issue but suddenly its become really glitchy, so slow, my calendar isnt jam packed maybe one event every week or two, and i keep updating it to no avail, really hope this can be fixed !

  • happy

this app is great but I wish I could put other plans and stuff in it
  • You’ll need more than one friend to use the app

Kind of pathetic that it’s mandatory to have at least 2 people in your contacts that uses this app. There’s only one person in my contacts that uses this and she was the one that invited me to use it. I can’t get past the setup without adding someone else. None of my friends are interested in the app, since we use something else due to us being nurses.

  • I love it so far!

It’s annoying that you have to add friends who actually get app so that you can use all the features, but it works very well so far.

  • Amateur glitches

The developers must not actually use the app or they would fix the obvious glitches. My biggest complaint is that there is no word wrap in the details field. Text won’t fit and there is no way to drag or zoom out. Another: you cannot make edits to a plan without resending an invite to all. So… if you edit late at night and save then all the invitees get notified. Why?

Thanks for the feedback 😌 When editing event details, you’ll see a pop-up asking if you’d like to ‘Reset invites’ or ‘Don’t reset invites’ - you can tap the latter to make sure invites aren’t re-sent out when changing event details! Please drop our support team an email over at support@howbout.app with screenshots of the wrapping issues you’re experiencing and we’ll see if we can get to the bottom of this.
  • Way better then group chats!!!

This is the best app for making group events. Gone are the days of annoying group chats. I love the polls, it’s so much easier to just have everyone vote on what day they can it. I definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone. I use for my church group, rugby team, and the Super Bowl party that I’m having for my small friends group.

  • Nope.

Uninstalled the moment it wouldn’t let me use the app unless i sent 3 contacts a spam invite, with no option to bypass that. I’m sure it has its uses, but that is dodgy as anything.
