I was skeptical at first, but I love this app and have been falling asleep to it for a year now. I’ve tried other ‘fall asleep’ meditations and no luck, but these work for me! Here’s what makes me a fan:
- solfeggio frequencies layered with stories
- stories are the right amount of boring
- there are stories that don’t focus too much on breath and body scans, which I usually can’t get into, but do include maybe one or two deep breaths in the middle. I still use the body scans occasionally for meditation, but not for sleep.
- there isn’t too much content. This might seem like a downside, but it might be the accidental secret sauce. Repetition works for me, and it turns out that’s pretty common. Searching for something new and good is not a good idea before bed.
- I hate monthly subscriptions and this isn’t one.
I’m not big into writing reviews, but this app changed my life. I don’t even use the band every time, sometimes I just have my phone volume up.
Anyway, whatever the reason this odd mix of technically inaccurate, grammatically questionable and occasionally bizarre documentaries and stories puts me to sleep like a tranquilliser when nothing else has worked for 15 years.
