Brilliant
Brought this for a holiday . To play offline on the long plane journeys . Made them fly past ( pun intended ) . Like the old school pick a path book adventures of the 80s but with modern rpg elements , this and great characters and story makes the boring hours whizz past . Highly recommend!

Fighting fantasy
If you were thinking “this might be like those fighting fantasy / choose your own adventure books” you’d be right- only this book can tally your health and spell casting abilities and be much more detailed. But yeah, it’s just like that. Very good, I thought. A bit of light reading and the chance to make choices that do affect the outcomes. Nice.

This adventure story is a delight to play. Descriptive text engages and furthers the story and the choices of actions match most typical responses from rpg gamers.

It’s like being at a table with your own personal dungeon master.
