Your grill the sear wood 600 xl is phenomenal. Perfect heat, most smoke from pellets are terrible but the sear wood has figured out how to use pellets better than any smoker I’ve ever used. Now that’s the pro onto the Con. Your app graph is useless. It doesn’t zoom in to see temp fluctuations. It doesn’t store the info so we can take notes on how the smoking went, and if I accidentally swipe up on my iPhone it loses the history from the start of the smoke and starts over again which is the worst out of all the problems. When I wake up and smoke at 5am and check my smoker at 9am and accidentally swipe up while I’m groggy in tha Am after an early AM I need the App to hold my data and provide it back to me when I want to review my results. Also for 1200$ I should get a shelf and not have to buy it cause that’s just ridiculous for that kind of money. Overall the grill is great but when I tell my friends I don’t focus on the positive just the weak parts when they also are deciding if they want to invest in a $1200 smoker grill combo. Thank you

Good for grill control but not good for recipes
I have a Smokefire EX4 and this app makes it a bit convenient to control it. Where I have an issue with this app is, there really is no way for me to filter out the provided recipes by the type of grill I have. The amount of recipes are already limited to begin with but having no way for me to filter it makes it even worse. I don’t think I should have to jump over to PitBoss or Traeger website to find me a decent recipe for my Weber smoker.

Easy brisket
It is now 6am and the brisket has been on for 12 hours. The smoke boost has been on and I got to sleep through the night. Smoke EX 4 is all you need for great brisket and anything else. Thanksgiving turkey so easy. Lots of smoke or almost no smoke just depend on the temp you use. The blue tooth connect is amazing for temp control and even low fuel. Get one. Alan

Great but needs work
This app is great for tracking my smoker temps without having to constantly go outside and manually check. The only annoyance is that it is device specific instead of account specific, meaning I would have to readd any probes if I log into a different device. It would be nice to be able to check the temps on any device by just logging into my account.

I love the slick design and user friendly features.
False notifications for over a year
Turning the power on or off triggers the low fuel notification every time, whether the gas is lit or off. Every grill session at the start it gives the low fuel notification. It throws the low fuel notification for a fresh 5 gallon propane tank or the 100 gallon house one. Neither ever remotely low. Useless notification It’s embarrassing for them. It throws the same notifications when you plug the power in after being unplugged when the grill itself isn’t on. The only thing the app is good for is seeing the grill temperature from your phone but even then… reading the developer comments they seem to think everything is a user problem and direct you to support. Clearly they do not understand what the issue is. The issue is them putting out a 1 star app and thinking they have improved and made it better over time. When whomever is managing this thing has made it significantly worse. Id probably just be rid of the whole team that makes decisions about the user interface and start over

Ease of use but not without bugs
Great app, very easy to use however there have been a couple of occasions where the temp setting doesn’t allow me to connect right away. I had to stop and restart a couple times but fortunately thus far it’s only been at the beginning of cooks so it hasn’t posed a significant issue.
Works but just BARELY
I don’t know if the app is useless or the grill or both together. Everything from the grill disconnecting from my phone for no reason to the grill not showing the current temperature to Weber not giving you a widget conveniently place on your home screen to easily see the temperatures.
This is typical of companies that want to place a selling point on their product by putting tech in it but not actually working to make that tech useful. all they did was put Wi-Fi on it and charged you an extra two to $300.
