App great, but freezes too much
The scoring app is very well written, but in our league on Monday nights, it freezes OFTEN. Whether on WiFi or mobile data. The whole pool hall will report the outage and it slows the matches down while you wait for the unfreeze and then catch up. We end up still doing paper as a backup. The app need a thorough Performance and Load testing. Its a horrible app, freeze and frustrate not only the scorer but also the player and that impacts the player’s performance.

Works pretty good
I like it better on my iPad vs iPhone. A little trickier it seems on phone. And even more so when scoring 2 matches at a time. Overall I am liking it. Timing of things gets thrown off though when you forget to mark after player finishes. If scoring 2 matches thru my iPhone and player takes a timeout then I can’t switch to other game to mark as needed (or at least I couldn’t figure out how to). Even still I like it. I’d like to practice with it and help with ideas even though our region does not yet support it. Can you open it up for people using fake names (“NotReal1”) and SLs and an obvious warning it is for testing purposes only?
I’ll give a more accurate rating after I am able to try it.
I dreamed of helping to write this app as far back as 2011.
In theory, match results can be acknowledged by the opposing team using automated text messaging (“Results are..., type “C” to confirm) thus freeing up league operators from needing to enter data, and having all results visible at the end of that night.Show lessRjohnson_8ball
