Great machine, poor app

The app is great for what they Want to do. But the features are not fleshed out and the experience is very buggy.

The train button has not worked for me. The learning feature is the only usable one in my opinion, along with the rep count via Bluetooth.

The app needs work, and I’m hoping they flesh it out at some point. In theory, it makes a great companion to a stellar work out machine.

Buggy App

Love the workouts and overall purpose of the equipment, but you need do something about the app. Super buggy and has crapped out on me 3 times now, twice in the middle of a workout. Not cool, starting to get frustrated.

Can’t play classes more than once

Helpful app in some ways - classes, shows you what you can do with the MaxPro and how to perform each exercise. However, I find that I can play a class once, and when I go back a few days later to play the video it will not load. Sometimes you have the options to download videos, and the next time you open the app, downloads are gone, video won’t play and you no longer have download options.

The app is terrible

Coached exercises don’t load half the time. You have to connect it to the device every time you open the app. It’s a really poor experience. Hopefully it gets better, but it really shouldn’t exist in this state.

Getting better with each release!

Very happy with the progress on the app. Definitely seeing some major improvements and the company support is amazing!

Love!!

The videos are great. I had the base but returned it for the smart one with Bluetooth so I can use the app. It’s so much better and the videos are tough! In a good way!

Killer at home workouts

I absolutely love my MaxPro and this awesome app...I’ve gotten SO much stronger since using it during my time at home. The reporting feature is great, helps me see my improvement

Freezes and crashes constantly

This app is terrible! I’m really hope they make a focus to improve the app otherwise it was a complete waste of money to buy the smart connect MaxPro.
I have yet to be able to complete a full workout without it freezing and crashing. Once it does that you loose all of the data and have to just compete the workout without the app. This is due to not being able to skip exercises because the app makes it where you must complete the reps to move onto the next exercise. When you do complete a workout it will not save successfully instead will say error.
It is not user friendly at all and takes forever to figure out. The exercises are not organized well and you cannot search for a specific exercise.
It would be great if it would remember previous resistance used in the past so it’s easy to figure out what number to use for each workout.

The MaxPro is great though but feel like I wasted money buying the smart connect instead of the regular. If they don’t fix the app, JUST BUY THE CHEAPER MODEL and use a workout app that actually works!

Great machine, trash app.

The machine itself is great, and the app could be amazing... could. Instead the “Pro” workouts are set to a pace that doesn’t allow you to actually change the weight settings even as fast as it is. It disconnects often and if it does so forget it, your workout is at an all stop since it won’t pick up where it disconnected. It allows 0 ability to adjust it on the fly. If a workout is a bit me sided workout that you should do two sets of it only gives time for one (plank reverse fly). Overall extremely irritated and feeling very Karen like after spending more for the connect model just to discover the app it connects to is trash and from what I can tell doesn’t even sync to Apple health/ fitness.

Only works for the max pro smart connect

It shouldn’t be that hard to allow people to use the app if they have the regular max pro and not the smart connect. Oddly enough every other app in the App Store works with the regular max pro except the max pro app.
