Can’t connect iPhone app to Rekordbox on laptop
Seems to be an issue for lots of people too and as getting playlists from my laptop onto my phone is my number one reason for using the app, it’s no good for me at the moment.
No matter how many times I’ve quit and restarted both the laptop and phone app and checked I’m on the same Wi-fi network, I still get the same message after 5 seconds:
“Initialising connection with mobile device - no mobile device was found. Please confirm Wi-fi settings”
I love the Rekordbox desktop software so please fix this and I’ll be able to use your phone app and give it a proper score!

Love rekordbox mobile. More than rekordbox 6..
Whenever I get new tracks I immediately sync them to rekordbox, sit back on my couch at night, do all my prep work on rekordbox mobile, and everything automatically syncs back to rekordbox 6.
I like the feel and flow of rekordbox mobile more than rekordbox 6. I’m guessing the mobile version is written in Objective-C or Swift as it just feels smooth to use. With rekordbox 6, perhaps because it’s a Java app, I feel it lacks the native macOS look, feel, and smoothness the mobile version has.
Integration of rekordbox mobile with CDJs is great. For me this app is exactly what makes Pioneer DJ the best value for DJs who really want to maximize their music for the art of DJ performances.

Works, but needs work
This is a pretty cool app for a first go. The library sync was easy. It was easy to jump around tracks and set memory and hot cues.
One major lacking feature is I can’t listen to music in my car via Bluetooth!!! Argh!
I listen to a lot of techno, so was hoping to use this as a media player in the car and was super excited to be able to scrub through the dj mix in and mix out sections. But I can’t listen in my car. Boo!

This updated version is really well done. Love it! A playlist auto mix feature would make it incredible!
Really excited to use but not working :(
Audio files cant be downloaded unable to find files. I have setup and moved files to Dropbox properly through rekordbox.
My iPhone is now a cloud-synced flashdrive
I’ve installed this on my old iPhone 6 so that it’s on a device I don’t need for calls. You now need to have the right adapters and connect to the back USB TYPE B on a CDJ or into the PRO DJ LINK hub via ethernet. I bought the adapters that allow for this and also connecting power to charge at the same time. This new way of connecting is more cumbersome but allows for new features. Mainly now when connected to CDJs, you can also browse for music on the phone rather than just the CDJ. Why is this cool? Because it’s cloud connected. Now any data I add to tracks while playing on CDJs automatically syncs back to my collection. If I add new music to my collection on one computer, it is now automatically available in the app via cloud. So basically this old iPhone 6 is now a SSD drive that is cloud synced. Not to mention how great the design is. You can do everything on your tracks with your thumb. It’s now my preferred way to prepare tracks. AMAZING. The people giving bad reviews, just don’t get it and aren’t understanding the big picture of what this is.

Brilliant app
I really like this app. To be able to prepare your music on the go, on a train or in a hotel is just great. I did lose connection a couple of times when transferring playlists across from my MacBook Air. I would like to see more settings such as no auto play when load a song. This app has great potential.

Needs features that were in the previous version
I’m not happy that I can’t select a song while another song plays. I don’t like that I can’t directly connect in the the usb top port and play off of the phone. It’s also really cluttered

Xdj Aero needs to be added to this. Previous rekordbox app worked with Aero. This one doesn’t... Shame....
