I have to say, I don’t typically leave reviews for games, however this one was quite exciting. It’s very fun and not SUPER difficult, however the parts that were are just a fun challenge. It’s a creative puzzle/escape game that I thoroughly enjoyed, especially being able to play the first three levels for free!
The reason for the 4/5 stars, is because the only “issue” I had was that after the first room, the items you can interact with are highlighted with sparkles of some sort (I’m not sure if there’s a way to disable that but if so, that’s my own fault for not realizing.) I feel as though it takes a bit away from the challenge that’s there, but I can see how it is helpful to those that may be just starting off with escape related games.

After reading other reviews I felt as though this game truly deserved recognition for the hard work/time put into it. The complaints I read seemed to come from user error (which is why there’s a walkthrough!) and from people complaining they had to pay for following levels. The levels are inexpensive and a slight way to give back to the creators for that time and dedication they put in to give us these games. Glitch Games are everything!
I think the first Glitch Game I played was All That Remains, and I quickly learned that if a game was from Glitch, I should automatically download it because their games are incredible. Great Escapes is not an exception, it’s an excellent way to introduce yourself to Glitch Games and the kind of quality you can expect in other games, it’s almost like a little sampler platter. I had fun playing the different chapters and I can only hope that they're working on some more games for us because I am addicted to their style of interactive adventure game play. Glitch is the best.
I still go back and play these older Glitch games, while waiting for their newest ones to come out. Absolutely the best of ALL point and click escape/adventure iOS games!
Never a need for hints or walk through is you take your time and think…they are all logical and fun!

Fun escape room puzzles—the first 3 are FREE, well designed, and make you think, but aren’t too challenging for your average adult. And the hint system works quite well to nudge you in the right direction without spoiling it. Worth the download. I may even purchase the others! Recommended!Tristyjoy
always good, but …
the only reason i’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because i wish there was a flat fee for the full game (including future chapters) instead of the current “pack” system, which feels like it has me paying more overall for what’s definitely a lesser Glitch game, especially when their other, more story-based game output is so consistently excellent. but the puzzles remain fun and clever and the hint system is useful, although they reveal the answers more often than i’d like (and more often than other Glitch games). as a kind of “Glitch Lite,” this is a solid entry point to a great puzzle game developerShow lessgigerxmachina
Escape room practice
Loved this and can't wait for the next installment. Just hard enough to entertain and great thinking puzzle for helping me on my next in person escape room adventure. Each puzzle is a perfect length so that you can have fun but not fell like you'll never get it finished.Ducks4friends
Another amazing game
Glitch does it again…The ONLY problem I have with Glitch games is that NONE of the other games of its kind even come close to comparing to them, therefore every other game is a disappointment in comparison. They are hands-down, the best developer in the App Store, by far. I realize that it’s completely unrealistic for them to shoot out games (especially of this quality) every month, but me and my unrealistic optimism keep checking their page to see if a new one is released almost monthly because I simply cannot get enough. Great games except for bug in Temple room
I love these games and am totally hooked. But…in the Temple room, the Pillars and Stones puzzle seems to have a bug. The pillars are all supposed to be at different heights in the solution but two of the stones are the same “weight”, ie they push their pillars down an equal amount, so there’s no way to get the pillars into the correct height pattern. First time Glitcher and I’m really enjoying these! They are just tough enough to keep me wanting more. After playing my first one I bought all of the packs. I can’t wait for more packs!79chick
Great introduction to Glitch
I don’t typically review games but I love this company’s output. This particular one is basically a sampler of their other games—many of the rooms are lifted from their other games, but the puzzles have been changed and shortened. They’re just long enough to get your brain moving, but short enough to be completed in 15 minutes.
If you’ve never played anything from Glitch, I’d actually suggest playing the first room or two of this, and then if you like it switch to their full size games. Their games are spooky and quirky and have cute running gags—experiencing those in full and coming back here to play the “remixed” versions feels like the best way to do it.
