Used to be amazing… now it’s meh.

Been with Treads for almost three years now. When I first started they were amazing. The emergency flat repair was a godsend and you could get service same day.

Not anymore. I picked up a screw today and being my van is my work van, I need it to work Monday. I tried to schedule a same day fix like I have several times in the past because my plan includes emergency flat repair and replacement (or at least it did when I started my subscription).

The came out within an hour and swapped a flat tire on the side of the highway without issue.

Well not today, I was met with AI chat help that doesn’t help, then finally when I reached a human being I’m told that they don’t schedule same day and to call firestone, but firestone wanted to schedule me for Tuesday to remove a screw…

Now they’re telling me I don’t have emergency flat repair when it was the whole reason I signed up and I have used it several times since I started my subscription.

Don’t bother unless you just want to finance tires. Their prices and install times are great but without the advertised emergency flat repair I had before, I’m better off paying cash for my tires and getting a AAA membership.

Rip to a great model. I likely won’t be renewing my subscription after this set of tires is paid off.

I’m currently sitting in the lobby at a competitor paying $25 to remove a screw that Treads told me I needed to schedule 3 days out.

Goto a Tire shop

Contacted them shortly after initial install and explained I was pretty certain tires were out of balance or had at least a defective one. I was instructed to do a rotation request and put in notes to check/rebalance which I did. Technician did rotation but did not check or rebalance (have this on camera). Finally had enough paid for a shop to do inspection and rebalance. Contacted treads who offered to refund what I spent getting balanced but now I have screwed up wear patterns what about that? What about the misleading and false advertising about reporting to credit? I requested a supervisor and or manager to contact me last month and of course haven’t heard back

So helpful

My tires were in bad shape. I sent a message and let them know that the soonest was 6 days out to put on tires and explained my problem . They were so helpful and was able to get out there within 36 hours and put on new tires. To make things worse, the day they came out was the hottest day of the summer by far. The guys that came out were very quick. My car rode so much better and I am not stressed if something happens. When i message them, they are usually very quick to respond.

Awesome!!!

So I have been with this app for a year or more. I fell on hard times and fell behind on the payments and still they we’re understanding allowed me to pay four months later and still keep my subscription. In the time during my membership they have taken care of me with installing my new tires in a timely fashion, tire tech came out and was done very quickly to the extent by the time I had some free time to take a look on their progress in between working and what have you, the tech was done and gone. When I decided to purchase four brand new tires about a year in just because I had the money to do so (nothing wrong with current tires) it was a low payment of $100 for ALL four tires, can’t beat that price. Unfortunately when they came out one of the stems on my new back tire was defective. But fret not they came right back out not even 15 minutes later replaced the stem and we’re gone in 5 minutes. Again this is all while I am working. They are the upmost definition of quality customer service and satisfaction. Thank you again Treads team, and keep up the great work!!!

THUMBS DOWN

This app isn’t cracked up to what you think it is. I have the premium subscription on two of my vehicles. When I was due for a tire rotation the guy came and told me that he couldn’t do it due to the amount of tread left. I completely understand that. When I contacted support they said that I’d have to pay another $600 for a set of tires. Yes my tread was low but I thought it was all covered in this overpriced, overrated service??? My tread ware was due to a big snowstorm that we had three days after Christmas and the ice stayed on the ground for months. I don’t know about anyone else but I have to work regardless of what the weather is like. Once my period is up that I agreed to I’m out! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Hi johnnytsunami303, As we highlight in your terms and conditions, when you sign up for a Treads subscription package you’ll be able to select a brand-new set of tires and schedule a mobile installation right away. When those tires reach a tread depth between 4/32″ and 3/32” and you’ve had your subscription for at least 18 months you will be eligible for a new replacement set if you need them sooner we can still help however as we explained there is an early tire replacement fee. We understand sometimes tires wear out quicker than expected depending on your driving habits and style, which might make driving more expensive for you compared to other drivers.

Great customer service! Reasonable subscription plans. This was a great opportunity for us to get new tires without having to pay the total cost up front. Budget friendly! And they come to you for installation..definitely a bonus. Now with other subscriptions that are able to be added makes this app even better! Definitely recommend!

App is terrible

The app is terrible. 1st it wouldn’t let me finish signing up because my phone number was duplicated? Then I spent hours researching tire options just to find my top 3 options were not available. Then when trying to change tire options I got another error. After reaching out to tech support they informed me there were only 3 options available under premium none of which I wanted. When asking for some type of install discount due to the additional hassle they refused. A friend of mine vouches for the service itself which is the only reason I am deciding to move forward but again the app has been a terrible experience and customer service hasn’t been accommodating to alleviate any of the annoyance I have dealt with.

Schedule appt at Discount tire to save $ & time

From what I understand there is no real savings of time or money by downloading this app and agreeing to a subscription. If you set up an appointment at discount tire or big O they usually get you done within the hour and both offer free tire repairs for life even if you don’t buy a tire from them. I repeat if you have a tire that needs repaired take it to DISCOUNT TIRE and they’ll do it for FREE. This app doesn’t do that. I can go to Les Schwab tire and get their premium tire Mounted, balanced, plus an alignment(this service can’t offer) and free repairs for life for less than the $30 subscription on this app. And yes, you offer free roadside service. Well I maintain my vehicle quite well so I have never needed to tow truck. And if I ever do, my insurance has me covered for free.

Excellent Service

I have been going back and forth contemplating getting tires from Treads and glad I did. Not only are they very helpful with those not too familiar on getting the accurate size (which I did get the incorrect size) but direct me on the How to’s and got everything squared away. Love the idea of the repair and rotation as well. I will highly recommend TREADS to everyone I know in need of tires!

Awesome program

We found ourselves in a position where my F150 needed tires and we weren’t financially prepared for it. Found this program online and gave it a shot. The customer service has been amazing with very quick response times. Tires were installed two days after signing up. Company they hired (Tires express) showed up early. Amazing guys who installed. Very friendly. They were done in about an hour. Tires look great. Highly recommend treads to anyone who is looking for tires. Time will tell how the warranty, rotations, road hazard work out but I’m impressed so far
