Money grab
It’s fun when it starts, and draws you in with interesting characters and icons. After a short while, approximately a month of playing time, one realizes, you have to spend cash and lots of it in order to advance your team. The Start Oracle Caravan; the latest “money grab”, states it’s possible, as in 0.05% to obtain one of the Midnight characters. Liking a challenge and having some spare Christmas cash, I gave it a go. Unfortunately, after a couple of thousand American dollars spent, there were no Midnight characters found!
Wrote to developers regarding this as a potential game bug, but after several inquiries, silence.

Almost Good - Just Too Greedy
Overall, it’s not a bad game, but as the game updates roll out, it’s apparent that they’re looking for whatever ways that players play that doesn’t involve paying money and removing those. First they removed contracts from the first low-level dungeon. Then, they upped the difficulty of the second low-level dungeon. Then they removed bonus contract chances. As a garbage cherry on top, the AI is god-awful. It’s so bad, I’m convinced that it has been specifically designed to kill characters (i.e. waste money, because you have to recover heroes).
Do better.
The reality is that there’s a lot of us that are willing to spend money so long as we don’t feel like we’re getting screwed over.

Pay to win
The recruiting options are so limited to scrolls, that are either incredibly hard to obtaining, extremely expensive or available though real purchases.
Great game
What an amazing fun game
I actually enjoy this game.
I enjoy most aspects of this game. I have not spent any money on it and so far after completing act 1 I dont feel the need (yet) to pay anything into it. Which is a nice change of pace from the in your face pay to win games.
Concepts are decent, battling is fun, not much to complain about our really.

Do not play here’s why..
1. The game did not get wiped from a 3 year beta so the old players have a massive advantage.
2. The prices are astronomical if you want to pay. Like 50 dollars for a small micro transaction bundle which gets you minor upgrades.
3. Most of the playerbase left and there’s basically whales and bots left.
4. I got timed out for a week on discord for writing about core problems in a polite, non offensive way. The devs actively try to silence people who criticize their game. Do you like freedom of speech? You won’t have it in this game.
5. There’s no content—just recycled grinds of the same, stronger increasing enemy with the same skin.
6. The gatcha system is rigged to be extremely poor. Something like 1 to 1000 ratio gives you something good and without the “good,” heroes, then you will be at a severe disadvantage.
7. There are many bugs and game crashes which take your resources/energy away and then you’re out of luck.
8. It’s a blatant cash grab and the devs are shady for reasons mentioned above. Spender be warned.
At first, I wrote my cricitism to help the devs make a better game but I got bitter once they timed me out for doing nothing wrong. I usually support small devs, and gave this game a fair 4 star rating at first. Now after playing more and with the Dev behavior of a 4 year old, I’m updating my rating and warning the players.

Respect the effort but…
Being old school, I waited for this to be released, but I just feel like there should be more to do. The dungeons are imbalanced, so you will find yourself doing 1-2 multiple times. The relative lack of variety in available toons becomes pretty repetitive. Battles become pretty repetitive and you will quickly recognize the battlefields you will fight on. I likely will keep an eye on this in the future, but for now it’s just going to sit and I will watch from afar.
