One complaint.
I absolutely loved this app! I had no complaints until recently. It was so nice and interactive in the comments. Everyone was lifting eachother up and I felt as if it was just an app full of girls girls. (If you know what I’m saying..lol.) I really liked how you could search up LITERALLY ANYTHING and there would be soooooooo so so many results.
Now..the only thing I have to complain about is it logged me out of my account when TikTok took over and now I can’t log in because I didn’t have a TikTok account…so I ended up having to make one but it logged me out again for some reason. (And it wasn’t because of community violations or anything like that..it simply just logged me out.) So, now, I can’t even log back in because everyone I press on say the phone number box (to type your phone number to log in) or the email/username box, it won’t let me type anything. So I’m not sure if I’m the only one having that issue..but yeah…that’s my complaint. So that’s the ONLY reason I give it 3/5 because I really liked the app and I miss it lol.. and I’m sad that all of the posts I made will be gone if I were to make a new account. (I also tried making a new acc and it still would not let me type anything.) So if that would be fixed…even if I had to make a new acc…it would absolutely 100% be a 5/5!!

I hate lemonade in TikTok
So this is why I hate Lemon8 aid in TikTok because TikTok is better than people for no reason like people are under age and the crazy thing is limit eight in TikTok or team up together. It’s like crazy right they are both like banning people saying you can only only sign in lemonade with your TikTok account like do that make any sense TikTok? They just banned you for under age doesn’t matter if you use a Google account Apple account user number or email they are going to ban you like you can’t like make a single account with TikTok messing with people account for no reason it be little kids on TikTok and they don’t decide to ban them what is wrong with these People I freaking 14 and they are both team together. I hate lemonade and I hate TikTok. They are just doing way too much that bad people for no reason and then they wanna say like somebody is doing some wrong inappropriate. Nobody doing nothing inappropriate just like I’m not doing any appropriate. I do not bad on my account. I ain’t do nothing but limit aid and I hate you so much becausethey got the reason to bear somebody but nobody did nothing. Not good and not safe for minors
Okay so I got lemon8 bc I thought it would be a cute little diary. So far it has been a problem for me in multiple ways… first you cannot delete your account without deleting your TikTok, next you need a Tik Tok account to have an account, if you had an account before the Tik Tok update it will be lost (at least for me it was). I was able to recover it but there is no way of getting it back after that one time recovery so I just stripped it of everything and deleted the app since I simply can’t stand it anymore. I couldn’t connect my old lemon8 account to my Tik Tok and they don’t give you the option of doing that (at least for me). I had deleted the app before the update but redownloaded it for a second chance and found my account on public (I always make sure to keep my social media on private) and so I’m not sure what happened there but I’m mentioning it just in case. And finally, I originally deleted the app since it was advertised to minors and yet the content is not appropriate, for example some people post about intimacy in depth to teach young girls tips on positions. Please keep in mind the app is 12+ for age. I really can’t approve of this app at all.

App randomly stopped being available in my region: Lost access to my account after TikTok shift.
As a U.S. territory, Puerto Rico often finds itself in a frustrating gray area. We’re “part of the U.S.” when it’s “convenient”—like laws, obligations, and statistics—but when it comes to opportunities like app monetization, we’re excluded. Take Lemon8, for example. The app was fully available in Puerto Rico, and users like me loved the app. But after the recent TikTok shift and calls to migrate to Lemon8, we suddenly don’t count as “part” of the U.S. anymore. I’ve now lost access to everything on the app. This isn’t new. With TikTok, Puerto Rican creators were never eligible for monetization despite being under the U.S. umbrella. Now, history repeats itself. We’re seen as part of the system when it suits others, but denied the same opportunities when it comes to growth and recognition. This inconsistency isn’t just unfair—it’s a missed opportunity for platforms to embrace the immense talent and creativity coming from Puerto Rico. App developers, it’s time to recognize us: not as “conveniently part of the U.S.,” but as a valuable community that of our own that deserves full access and equal opportunities. If we’re being banned from TikTok, just like the rest of the United States, simply for being U.S. citizens or residing on U.S. soil, then we deserve equal access to the app (and equal opportunities for creators) as everyone else in the country. Great! Until tik tok stole it….
I loved this app it was great! It was better than Pinterest in my opinion and I really liked it! It was fun because I could follow people and it was like having an actual social media app because I don’t really do social media but I loved this app! It gave me a lot of helpful tips and there were some content creators I loved on Lemon8 and then I went to get on it one day and check all my notifications and it told me to log in through tik tok and I don’t do tik tok. I don’t use the app or get involved with it and I had a good amount of stuff saved and some people that I was following that were really helpful for me, so that day I lost everything I had saved and had to delete the app because I don’t have a tik tok log in and it isn’t fair for people who don’t want to be involved with tik tok. That’s why I like Pinterest because it is not like all the other apps and is really helpful, rather than mind rotting. If you don’t want to be involved with tik tok, DON’T GET THIS!!! I 100% recommend Pinterest instead of this app, this is just my personal opinion, but thank you for reading.

Lemon8 was most people’s outlet to get away from TikTok
Normally I would be nice about this, but I know A LOT of users are gonna be upset too. I loved lemon8 it was my favorite social media app. Easy to use, it wasn’t like TikTok, you won’t get stuck in a doom scroll and although some users could be toxic. Lemon8 made it easy to avoid them. Lemon8 was almost people outlets as a better social media app than TikTok. And now they are together, which NO ONE expected I deleted my account and I know many others will too. I was actually just on a post where people in the comments were upset a user was referring people to her TikTok for a recipe. Everyone said we use this app to get away from TikTok, and didn’t like that and refused to go to TikTok. I can only imagine how many more users you will lose because of this, people want social media apps not like TikTok, that’s why lemon8 became so popular. But now Lemon8 powered by TikTok? Honestly it’s sad. I’m sorry I’m trying to be nice, but I’m disappointed and I know a lot of other people are too. Lemon8 was a way to avoid TikTok for many.

I downloaded Lemon8 for jojifuku/kawaii core I spo and I swear Lemon8 doesn’t have it and I recommend using Pinterest. They also make people think they can become really skinny because of a stupid app. Also in their ads their like “change this” “change that” when they show the photos of the people changing for someone they show COMPLETLY different people here. And they show fat people saying “all because I downloaded Lemon8” and show a DIFFRENT person who is really skinny. They also show very innapropriate stuff like girls show like tips for Sussy stuff and I don’t think you can add how old are you for them to recommend you age appropriate stuff. Also girls show photos of their underwear and say too much tips on their private parts. And they also have “romantic body” tips and IM NOT JOKING WHEN THEY SAY THEY SHOW FREAKING UNDERWEAR LIKE ITS NOT COOL. Also lastly they are always like loose weight like this that like you body is perfect the way it is. Fix your app, Lemon8 I hate it

l have seen a lot of videos and ads about Lemon8 so I decided to try it out and when l got it and l went on it, it asked me for my age and so l put in my birthday and it said “not eligible “ even though they are older than the age rating, l have also see other people say that it is a great app and saying that he has great tips and great make up looks and stuff like that, but there are sponsors or are ads from lemonade itself. I have seeds so many reviews and all of them are showing that doesn’t work for them either and I first done it today and even then and even it didn’t work and I was thinking it was just me but then I read it today and 10 minutes ago and it kept showing that l wasn’t eligible and also if the app says that you have to be 12+ why can’t plus actually get on the actual app and our only getting stuck at the not eligible scream and try and over and over again and even putting in fake names, but yet all these 25+ women are on it if you’re gonna make a app that shows plus why only let people order than to be on it and not 12+

Great app but could use a little adjustment
Love Lemon8! The app is so easy to use, and the rewards are amazing! I've earned cash back and discounts on my favorite purchases, and the cashout process is seamless. The community is also super supportive and helpful, always sharing tips and tricks for maximizing rewards. The app's interface is clean and intuitive, making it a breeze to navigate. Plus, the customer support team is responsive and friendly. 10/10 would recommend! 5/5 stars!. But I think as well as my friends who also have the app think that the short form videos are unnecessary and ridiculous . I feel like it would really help the app grow if they didn’t have any limits or restrictions on the videos that can only be allowed in under one minute. I hope Lemon8 hears me out and can hopefully make some changes other than that this app is perfect.

Infuriating
Most of the posts are about the same thing, you can't write comments that aren't longer than two paragraphs, and the comments writing process is awful because of the way the word limit pops up. Seriously the way that the comments writing system works is enough to make me never want to go back. I often use dictation and if your dictation is too long, it will just delete the whole thing! who coded this app a toddler? On a social app you would think your main priority would be to actually have a comment system that worked and didn't make you retype deleted comments all the time unless that's your sneak way of getting engagement either way it is something that will give people rage issues fyi.
The app is run by Christians, but they are too foolish to realize that their guidelines make it so you can't even talk about the Bible as it is so vulgar. This also means that you can't really talk about much at all because they deem most things unacceptable so they will delete your comments without warning and with no way of asking for a repeal. all it takes is one offended Christian and they will try to report everything on your account and as far as I can tell lemon8 doesn't even check the report as I have said completely mild things that just don't agree with Christianity and I've had my comments deleted.
