  • Card Issue

    Hello.

    From the recent update, the app removed my card for payment. And now I can’t add it back on as it comes up with an error ‘ card issuer error’ stating that the app needs more information from my bank.

    I’m with two different banks so I tried my other card and it says the same thing.

    And it’s been a few weeks so I thought to try again and still nothing.

    I use my cards daily or so, online and over the counter. So I know my cards are not the issue.

    Can the team look into this?

  • Usually great but updates cause havoc

    The App itself great for normal use!
    BUT when you open it and it presents you with a compulsory update and then the updated app needs to reauthenticate the user and recapture the payment card details it causes queues, frustration, delays and congestion at the station.

    What you have come to expect as an above average experience at a self serve station becomes a way below experience.

  • Great app!

    Love this app. 🥰 It’s so easy to use and as it’s linked to my bank card I don’t have to wait in line to pay.

    I also love the rewards that I sometimes get after spinning the wheel when I’ve made a purchase. Thanks 😊

  • Good but recent issues

    Overall the app is good and easy to use, but recent changes have spoiled both the app and my experience.
    They removed the ability to input your own amount to pay, leaving you restricted to preset options (i.e $20, $40 etc) meaning I am often forced to buy more fuel than I need or can afford.
    The app spontaneously updates within the app itself, leading to a frustrating wait as I sit there waiting for the app to update over a patchy data signal, meanwhile a queue is forming behind me.
    Occasionally the location doesn’t register so it takes multiple attempts to be able to locate the station i am at.
    The app recently deleted my card and now I can’t add it back until i phone my bank, my dad had the same issue a week later.

    Kia ora, thanks for the feedback. In the pump selector screen, you can scroll to the 'Set' button and tap to choose your preferred dollar amount between $10 and $300 for your fill. If you pump less than the amount selected, we only charge for the fuel pumped, and the final value will show on your bank statement within 1-2days.   • Experiences for feedback

    Timing of updates as I pull into Manukau Road at 6p the other night not great. 4 minutes approx to update app. Then pull in tonight and payment cards have gone? Otherwise I like the app’s simplicity and added $$$ discounts + prefer to support local companies so okay to have to drive 5 minutes out of my way to use your site. Cheers

  • Lost out

    It always has to be fully restarted when arriving at any station stating take me to my nearest when I’m at the pump! I even refresh/fully close the app when finished so I don’t have to do this everytime, but I do. Now it’s saying crucial update but unless I sit here keeping my phone awake it won’t load and the furtherest we have got is 23%. So now I can’t use it at all and have missed out on several spins due this. As high km travellers we like to utilise such apps but this is the worst by far.

    Thanks for your response. I’ve tried contacting you via the app but it doesn’t work…… the update took nearly 30mins with data boosting and had to keep my phone awake to do it. Not cool

  • Used once then stopped working

    Was awesome - easy to set up. Spun the wheel, won an $5 petrol award. Went to login in again and it says my account has been disabled and to email support to reactivate. So had to go to the Waitomo website to find a contact page. Fingers crossed someone responds! Otherwise Waitomo owe me $5!
  • Can’t select own amount anymore

    App works sweet as however since last update I can’t select my own amount of gas anymore please bring this feature back.
  • Spin Issues

    App is good. However the spin to win hasn’t been popping up whenever I fill my car. I always top it up @ $50 a week so not sure why it’s stopped appearing for use. Have updated and everything??

  • Another disappointing App…

    Where do these product managers come from?
    No robust Authentication (sign-in) yet expects credit card details to be entered because there’s no Apple Pay option! (Reporting this to Apple)
    Both of these features are provided by iOS requiring negligible development effort.

    Yet another lazy App that puts developer convenience ahead of customer security & experience. If they’re not going to commit to the OS stick to web apps.

    Kia ora, we're working on support for Apple Pay in a future release. In the interim please be assured that we take card security seriously, and all our in-app payments are processed by a PCI-certified payments provider.
