Love_it_but_glitchy
I have been using Notes plus for almost 5 years. I really liked the app and used it daily. HOWEVER upgrading to NotesX has been a disappointment. I have stuck withit for 8-10 months, expecting that the bugs and glitches would be worked out. Some have, but there still consistent ones, and MOST concerning occasional “crashes” where you can loose a page or two of notes. This is not often, but is not acceptable, esp. if they are not recoverable.
I am likely to go back to NotesPlus, which my wife still uses. But it is frustrating as imported all my notebooks into NotesX and there does not seem to be a way to take them back.
I am running it on a new ipad 8 (or was new when I upgraded to Notes X). So hardware should not be a problem.

My favorite note-taking app now eats my notes.
This app is not ready for release. I just lost a second set of notes. App crashed and all pages now blank. I'll be going back to the original app, which (fortunately) I have not deleted. There are lots of new features that I like, but I can't risk my notes again. I'll try back in 6 months and hope the bugs are worked out. I love this app. It's the best note-taking app I have found. But, I can't risk using the new version any longer. April 17, 2022 came back to see how it was coming along. Still my favorite app for hand-written notes, so I want to see it work. So far, no loss of pages, but parts of words still disappear while writing. Submitting video to dev. Still unable to use, ATM.

Hi msw70, This is Viet Tran. This is a serious bug. However, we could not reproduce it in our testing. The app saves automatically every chance it gets so even if it crashes, you should not lose data. You don't have to try back in 6 months. Just email us at support@writeon.cool and we can resolve the problem for you and you can go back to work on the app. The more you use the app and report problems, the quicker we can improve it so that it meets your requirements.
I’ve tried hard to like this version
I have been using Notes Plus since my first iPad 10 years ago and have loved it. I have persisted to use this version and just don’t feel like it’s as good as previous versions. I use the “Show Closeup” feature a lot with the old version as it was simply there on my toolbar. Now i have to go through the menu to find it. I also find that as my hand moves along when writing, that random words disappear and I am yeeted to another part of the page/document.
I’m sure there is a way to fix these issues, i’m just not sure where that is.
I think i’ll keep going on the older version until it dies.

Excellent and Easy
I have used Notes Plus for years and found it to be the most visually appealing of several other note apps I have tried. Notes Plus X sealed the deal for long term use.
I bought a device just for this app… seriously
I’ve been a Notes Plus user for years…. LOVE it. First and foremost, I have a love affair with writing… as in actual handwriting. The right pen makes all the difference…and as excited as I am by the capabilities of Apple Pencil with procreate and the like, I couldn’t find a single note taking app where I liked the feel, “viscosity” and overall performance of the way it handled the Apple Pencil (even in the apps that claimed to have nailed it). The writing experience in this app makes me want to open it just to write… even the simple “ballpoint” tip has the feel of my favorite rollerballs. But more than the writing experience alone, the HUGE variety of options blow me away… I can create the document I have in my mind using their templates, I can change the color of the notebooks, I can create folders and organize my work any way I want… and best of all, I close a project and it immediately syncs with my phone and my other iPad. I recently made the move to Notes Plus X and it’s everything I loved and more… and I know it’s a platform that’s going to allow the team behind the app to keep offering more and more. Oh, and speaking of my “other iPad,” I’ve been using this with my iPad Pro and loving it… but I’ve also wondered if an iPad mini might make taking notes/creating infographics even more fun and practical with this app. So I bought an iPad mini FOR this app… and I couldn't be happier. I just landed in Seattle for a speaking engagement and spent the flight writing out my plans for tomorrow… on my mini… in this app. And the icing on the cake? The development team is phenomenal… if you need to contact them, they’re responsive, kind and devoted to keeping you up and running. Pretty gushy review… but it’s just a reflection of how much I use and love this app.

Love this app
This is the only note taking app like. It's glitchy sometimes. But seriously worth the purchase! I refuse to use any other note taking apps after using this one. Please keep updating!
INVALUABLE App
This app is invaluable for my profession. The ability to have a full featured notes and hand writing app makes this the best one after a long search.
The jump from Notes Plus to Notes Plus X has been significant. Greater response with Apple Pencil, simpler and user-friendly interface, and most realistic notepad functionality. It also brings some of the newer features and capability of the new iPad and iPadOS versions into alignment with the app.
The developers are very responsive and have taken a decent launch and made the current version nearly error proof. I highly recommend.

DO NOT GET THIS APP OR NOTES PLUS
I got this app thinking it would be an improvement from notes plus; paying $11 for both. For $11 you would think the app wouldn’t be as glitchy as it is. Both notes plus apps are SO GLITCHY it makes it SO HARD to take notes for school. If you wanted a note taking app DO NOT waste your money on this. I will write an entire word and it will be there for a second and then the app will just delete it and i’ll have to keep rewriting it which I don’t have time for because i’m trying to keep up in class. Or I will try to write something over and over again and it won’t show up and i’ll have to stop for a minute and then all of a sudden it will work again. You can’t import word documents, nor powerpoints which is annoying since you have to convert them to PDF first. There are more glitches I just don’t even feel like wasting my time typing this anymore since I already wasted $22 on these apps.

Big Customization Issue
Significant issue in the customization of templates. I keep notebooks for work and I customize the lined pages so that the page size is that of a regular sheet of paper (8.5x11). I have always (with the previous version) had zero issues with this customization. With the new app however, when I go to customize the template and tap on the page measurement to edit, the app crashes. With the previous app, I was easily able to bring bugs to the attention of the developer by selecting an option within the app and the response was rapid. But now I am unable to locate an option to report an issue. The app, which I paid for because I was happy with the previous version, is of no value to me if I can’t make these adjustments. And the adjustments are clearly meant to be available to users, but it crashes the app. Please fix this issue.

Bad experience
I have been using iPad writing apps to redline drawings , for a long time I was using notes plus and that start wired by shutting the app abruptly so I purchased notes plus x which worked fine for couple of days and then all of a sudden the drawings I import doesn’t show up correctly and I cannot backup the files I have worked. This is hours and hours of work if someone can help resolve the issue that will be great.
