  • Decent story…

Like all the other reviews, I was sucked in after reading a chapter on Facebook. After several chapters, I needed to purchase coins to keep reading, understandably. However, after spending more than $12 and even completing certain tasks to earn some…I am still nowhere near even halfway done with this book. It would cost more than $100 to complete. If you want to just earn coins by completing tasks, you can maybe read a chapter a day which is what I have been doing. However, if you like to read for long periods of time (as I prefer) this is not the app for you. I love reading and never mind paying for the books but the cost through this app is excessive and the writing is nowhere near as good as what I can get for $10/month through kindle. There needs to be better options to buy complete books. The five stars is only because I am still trying to earn coins to finish this book😂 because, of course, if I rate any less - I don’t get credit for the task. Go figure. As much as I am enjoying the story I am currently reading, I’ll be deleting this app when I’m done.

  • Love this app

I have tried so many different apps to read and by far this one is my favorite ! The chapters aren’t ridiculously crazy expensive like other apps so it has been worth it when I pay for books. You can also gain coins by doing tasks which I personally love. My favorite is being able to see if a book is completed or still on going. There have been a book or two that I was upset because I spent money on it and it has never been finished. But I learned my lesson and only read ongoing books from authors that have many completed books and always read the reviews before reading the book. This is the one app I don’t mind spending money on to read. It’s fair and their stories are usually great ! The o oh thing that upset me A LOT was that we are supposed get coins when you recommend the app to your friends through your link and if they download the app and read and purchase, supposedly you get 210 coins or something like that which is amazing to me because that means a few free chapters. I have had 3 friends download the app and read books and have highly recommended the app (all through my link) and I never got a single coin 🙄

  • When his eyes opened.

I had been a reader since childhood but has stopped when I was already working. It was now in my senior years that the passion for reading came back. I happen to browse at this website and started reading when his eyes opened. I like how it was written but the idea of buying coins that will give you some chapters to go on reading and then buy another set of coins and so on just don’t encourage me. For just one book or novel, this will cost the reader so much just to finish reading the book. More expensive than buying a book at the store or on line per se. I would rather suggest to put a price on each book published so as the reader would know if she would want to buy and start reading. Another idea is by subscription. If a reader will subscribe to your website it will entitle her/him to read all the books available for a certain period of time, say a year or maybe a lifetime subscriber. Payment for subscription will be bi annually so as to give the reader the chance to continue or just avail of it for just 6 months if she is not interested anymore. Subscription price must be affordable so as to entice a lot of readers. While this your own method of charging the reader for some chapters will only discourage the reader to continue reading. I for one can sacrifice not finishing reading the book if the charges is too much! For the reader doesn't have any idea how much will cost her in finishing reading the book. 🤭

  • Nice reads…but…

I stumbled across this app on Facebook. I love to read and found the story on Facebook pretty interesting and wanted to continue. I read the reviews that stated you could earn starts to continue reading the books after a few chapters. However, they literally charge you to read each chapter which I think is super annoying. I would invite my friends but I don’t like constantly having to pay for each chapter so why would I waste their time. I would have appreciated it more if there was a monthly fee of like $3.99 or a yearly fee of $45 or something. It makes you not want to continue reading when you constantly have to lay for each chapter when there is 60+ chapters in one story. This app totally makes me appreciate my subscription to kindle for the free books. On the other hand I have been reading The Alpha’s Mistake and I love it 😻 3 stars are for constantly paying to continue to read 1 story. I can honestly say once I am done withy current read I will be deleting the app only because of the cost 😩Now I’m giving it 1 STAR because they wouldn’t approve my points if I didn’t lie and put 5 stars. Smh 🤦🏾‍♀️

  • Charismatic Charlie Wade n various books

First I must truly give an outstanding applause to the Author!!!! I must say it’s been years since my interest has been sparked by a book really reading was something had to be intriguing in the very beginning to even get my attention. Furthermore I lose interest really quick if I’m unable to relate or find an interest. Never in a million years would I ever thought that I would even invest into reading but you got me adding money just so I can continue reading Charlie Wade wow his character is truly phenomenal and it’s as if he’s become a real person whom I truly admire and can relate. I wish there was more incentives to obtain credits to continue reading I know the value has exceeded my expense and wish the chapters were longer for less. But I’m not mad at all. I see this book will take years to read however I’m not rushed and I have time. Thank you truly for an amazing book. I just guess I have to limit my reading to several chapters a day. Literally I continue reading for 5 to 8 hrs a day. Enjoy this so much thank you!!!!!!

  • Got me reading again after years

I used to love to read but after a medical issue caused me to lose focus every time I would start reading I just gave up entirely. I ran across and excerpt on Facebook that caught my eye one day and I all of sudden didn’t lose focus but once I reached the end of the excerpt it took me to this app which for the most part is good because you are able to earn coins each day in order to continue reading but my problem is that I want to read faster than the earned coins will allow so I end up having to purchase coins if I want to read further. Of course you have the option to purchase larger coin packs that give you extra free coins which trust me you WILL want to do because to get through a book you will spend a lot lol. My two largest faults with this app is that the books seem never ending as if the author is is using this site as a editing tool because as you will come to find things are sometimes out of sequence as if they forgot they had it in an earlier chapter and you are able to put notes on the pages and many people do and the other qualm I have is the expense. I really want to get to the end of the one book I’m reading but I’ve started downloading free books from other sites. I’d like to read some of the other books this site has to offer but they honestly could stand to reconsider their price point.

  • Its great but…

I think this app is great! It reminds me a lot of
wattpad, where people, just like me who are
unpublished, can write and publish their short
stories or novels for a bit of recognition and even for pay too! I think that the fact this app helps new authors make a bit of money from their work is absolutely amazing! And the app works wonderfully! However, i would like to say that the pricing is a >bit< overboard…and by that i mean very. I can pick up books at a thrift store or even at walmart for a third or even a quarter of the price as what it costs for coins to read books on this app! The first few chapters are free, which is nice, but the chapters gradually get more and more expensive and to read and finish a book can cost you anywhere from $20-$100!!!! Thats insane to me especially since these are unpublished authors. Many of the featured books are well written, but the pricing STILL is way to high. And the incentives for doing tasks is VERY low.. it can take days to weeks to get the free coins you would need to unlock the next chapter of a book you really want to read. Maybe better incentives for tasks or cheaper coins would be amazing, but all in all i dont think its a reason to give less than 5 stars.

  • Honest review for a bonus- but must leave 5 stars to get bonus

The rewards are too far and few between, and they're very small. Most of the rewards are not big enough to unlock even a single chapter. The coins cost a lot to purchase and do not last very long because the setting to Auto Unlock the next chapter resets with each chapter but when it’s on Auto Unlock, you may not even realize you’re automatically buying the next chapter unless you watch the pages like a hawk. Once you forget to turn off Auto Unlock, the chapters just keep unlocking until you’re completely out of coins. The chapters of the books are entirely too short considering you have to buy/unlock each one and they’re only 5-8 pages long. With the large text and line spacing, that amounts to almost no material in a single chapter. The book I have been reading is also riddled with grammatical errors, plot holes, story line errors, and even punctuation and spelling errors. I could have just bought an actual novel for the amount of money it has taken me to read only 20% of the book.

  • When he opened his eyes.

I really enjoyed this book when I first started reading it. In the beginning, I couldn’t put my phone down. Every free moment I had, I would sneak a few minutes of reading. Then things changed a bit. The author made a change to the female protagonist. Once Avery became a mother, the entire story changed. Her twins were doing things at 4 years old that were really unrealistic. Such as taking taxis alone, hacking into high tech firewall systems, deciding on their own when to leave school or stay home from school. These are just a few of the unrealistic scenarios that began to turn me off. Then there is the issue of the story turning I to a never ending book. I read on to find comments from other readers that feel the same. Readers feel that the book is costing to much to continue on reading the story. It’s a little ridiculous that I’m reading a book that has cost me $100 or more to continue unlocking chapters with no end in site. Although I’m still reading “When his eyes Opened” because of course I’m very invested in getting to the end, my patience will soon be running out. I’m disappointed that a good quality story has turned into a very badly edited piece of trash. The app has many good stories and titles. I hope not all are like this one.

  • Hit or miss

Started reading a book on Facebook. It was very interesting so I downloaded the app. It wasn’t too bad at first whenever I saw that you needed coins in order to continue chapters. If you only plan on reading a couple chapters a day then the coins that you can earn daily should do. But if you are like me once I start reading I don’t want to stop. So I ended up having to buy coins in order to continue reading. I honestly wish I would have known that you needed coins to read chapters I probably never would have started reading it. I think it’s an awesome website that new authors can submit their books to but the worst part is that the book I am reading gets new chapters added almost daily and at this point the book is pretty much never ending. Which means that I’m either going to have to spend a lot of money or have a take about a year before I get completely caught up. I wish I could just buy this book but unfortunately it’s not possible. I kept telling myself that I was going to just stop reading it but then something off-the-wall would happen and I would continue reading because I wanted to know what happened next. So unfortunately I don’t think I’m going to be able to stop reading this book until I see it through because I have so many unanswered questions.
