Amazing

I adore this app. It lets me plan worlds and characters and events for my story better than I do on paper. All the tools are right there and easy to use. And free! It makes story writing and planning so much easier- and itโ€™s fun making all the characters and worlds etc.

Incredibleeeee

This is amazing and easy to navigate. I have been searching for things like this and character profiles are easy and so is worldbuilding. Whilst writing chapters you have different things you can look at like the scenes, statistics, characters and more! RECOMENDABLE

Grateful

Iโ€™ve been working on my book for a little while and it occurred to me to try to find an app that might help me just outline it. I found this app and am loving it so far! Iโ€™m so happy that I can have everything in one place, characters, locations, plot. I like the fact that that this app is so professional and I can use it without paying so much money every month and I am so happy! I never write app reviews, but I just had to say how happy I am with this app.

Nothing else like it for Worldbuilding!

When I write I tend to get rooted in worldbuilding, and the tools Fortelling has let me do more than any other writing app. They just built it from a different perspective than starting with a Word Processor and jam features in, and it shows.

Iโ€™ve been a pro subscriber and not, and I resubscribed because the web access on a laptop or desktop is just seamless and I found I really missed that ease of access. Comparable to Evernote without the tiered account nonsense, except the interface and function stays completely the same and familiar.

Being able to build your own tools (to an extent) is something that makes Fortelling more personal and extensible for what I do and how I write. There is a learning curve on some items and some documentation is a little thin bc this app is still pretty new, but updated often!

If youโ€™re a worldbuilding-style writer, I just canโ€™t recommend anything but Fortelling. Itโ€™s that good.

Amazing.

I usually hate reviewing apps, most are filled with ads, crappy or useless. Foretelling has genuinely been one of the best tools for as a writer, and they donโ€™t shove premium in your face like some other apps, itโ€™s one of the only apps Iโ€™d pay for premium for.

Thank you, for creating a good less cash grabbing app for aspiring writers like me, not being douchey about ads or your premium and just being the most genuine writing app out there.

Labels issue

Recently whenever I try to change or select a label colour the screen goes grey and I canโ€™t do anything, only working when I close the app before opening it later. Iโ€™ve tried resetting my phone but it hasnโ€™t changed anything.

You donโ€™t even know how amazing this app is!

First, let be begin on doting on the fact that this app is run by a SINGLE DEVELOPER. WHAT?! Most multi-developer apps are not this amazing!
Anywho, I have very much enjoyed using this app. Iโ€™ve been writing a book and it has helped me immensely with keeping my notes and thoughts organized! I love the way you can add individual characters and have specific notes for each of them, and how you can describe the world, make a timeline for events and moments, and so much more!

Another very enjoyable factor of this app is the weekly writing prompts(dubbed challenges) and the Author of the Month. The developer releases a new prompt every week that has helped my mind stay engaged when Iโ€™m having writerโ€™s block. The Author is the month belongs to four people and their stories for each week. I like that you can listen to them rather than reading them all the way through ask well.

Thoughts and suggestions:
I wish there were a way to follow/keep up with otherโ€™s writing. I have a few friends who use this app who do the challenges and are writing books as well. Iโ€™d like to have a way for authors to allow others to watch their progress in their projects or keep up with their challenges without having to send our profiles to them multiple times.

Again, highly recommended and very helpful and just an amazing resource!

Literally Perfect

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for in a writing app. It lets you put in maps, characters, character GROUPS, what they're wearing, their personalities, timelines, SPECIES, items, languages, boards, notes, labels, dictionary, image gallery and probably more I haven't even seen yet. It can even give you weekly writing challenges to work on your skills. This is perfect, and laid out so nicely so my little brain doesn't get overwhelmed, I actually get excited when I open the app to develop my story and make everything look prettier!! Highly recommend for any writer or hobbyist.

To the developers: If you ever added a Kofi/Patreon page or a support donation feature to the app I think more people might be more likely to give back to this app. Psychologically, I think the Pro looks like a bit of a daunting commitment (at least for me), but if there was a 'support' button I'd probably end up giving back the same amount anyway - just a suggestion :) Great job! Will be subscribing soon for sure.

LOVE this app. More organization though?

This is by far my favorite writing app!!! It has everything I need to make my stories organized and thought out. However, Iโ€™d love it if you could rearrange the order of your projects or characters, or even put them in different folders.
I have several of my own projects, and several I collaborate on with my friend, and Iโ€™d love to have a folder that I can put solo projects in, and one I can put our shared projects in! Thatโ€™d be amazing.
Also, Iโ€™d like to organize which of my characters or places you see first when you open the app, so they show up by importance or how often I use them. Just the ability to rearrange the order theyโ€™re put in would be amazing.
Thanks so much!
