  • Amazing app

The subscription is well worth it. I only had to have it for 1 month and I passed my NREMT on the first try. The best feature I recognized with this app was it’s explanations for correct answers, it gave in depth reasoning and even directly listed page numbers for reference in my Transportation of The Sick and Injured textbook which helped so much with my studying. Doing the quick tests are fun and help keep you in the right headspace and the practice NREMT is actually pretty darn close to the real deal. Obviously you should use more than just this app to study but I’d say this was my biggest help by far. Good luck to anyone else out there looking to take their NREMT soon! You’ve got this!!!

  • THANK YOU POCKET PREP!

I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to for this very helpful and effective study tool. I graduated from my EMT course in December 2020, took the NREMT exam immediately after and I failed! I was extremely disappointed and my confidence was down in the dumps. I put off trying to get certified until this year!! Right before the 2 year mark expiration in the ability to get certified after course completion. I started studying and glad I came across this app. The thorough explanations for right AND wrong answers were very helpful. The mock exam gave good practice for taking the real exam. The fact that you can pull out your phone anywhere and have a quick study session is very convenient. The premium subscription was worth every penny. If anyone is in my position or just wants a great tool to aid in studying for the NREMT exam, this is it. I am a newly certified as of today! When I first failed I went to the full 120 questions. This time around it cut me off at the minimum 70 questions and I personally felt the questions were not as hard this time around. Thanks again Pocket Prep! Don’t ever give up. Know your ABC’s. Use an EMT crash course textbook. Know your key terms. Know your signs and symptoms! Put in the work and you will see the results! Good luck!

  • I passed!

Used this app for my NREMT test after taking a EMT course and failing the first time and I passed 🫡. It works well in conjunction with the a text book and make sure you get >90% on all subjects before you attempt to take the NREMT. The question here aren’t on the NREMT(at least from what I saw) but they are similar and if you take to time to understand why you got it wrong you’ll do good. All thanks be to God🙏

  • Best paramedic study prep I know of

I used this for emt school years ago and I did for paramedic as well. I had the bare minimum of questions on my nremt test for emt school (70 questions) and 80 questions on the paramedic nremt exam. I was in and out both times from Pearson vue in around 35 minutes. This has helped me feel competent in my skills and has helped me achieve my goals in EMS. EMS is already stressful and this app I give so much credit to. I bought the premium version years ago and they have honored my lifetime membership to this day. This program is worth every penny

  • Passed NREMT

I hadn’t studied prior to finishing the course which was about 4 months ago. I downloaded this app about 2 weeks before my exam. It really helped with getting my memory back with all I’ve learned in my course. Although, apps like these alleviate a lot of anxiety when it comes to studying. Your book is also very important. Let this app be a calm approach when looking up certain areas to study. What I like most is the explanation along with the page numbers. This app can prepare you on how to answer questions on the exam. Don’t overthink. The information they give in scenarios is all you need to answer the question. Don’t add what isn’t presented to you.

  • Passed Paramedic NREMT

I can’t speak highly enough about this app. Four of the folks I worked with passed their first time only using this app. I strictly used the app and over a week went through the entire question bank reading the “whys” behind each question. I got kicked out at 80 questions on the NREMT. I had a coworker that failed two out of three times. We all told him he needed to study with EMS pocket prep, he passed the third time. I’m not sponsored or paid, I’m just stoked to have passed and want to share my experience. Go crush that test!

  • Excellent paramedic Study set

This app has done wonders for the success that I have had with applying field experience with textbook information. The app works great when I’m clinical and internship when there is down time. A few 10 question quiz’s throughout the day really adds up to solidifying the knowledge necessary for becoming more competent and confident in your skills and Dx. Highly recommended

  • Mock exam not showing up

Hi there. I’m currently paying a subscription for this app and don’t get me wrong, the app is good. However, I’m currently trying to study for an exit exam and I had someone told me that using this app and trying the beta version of the mock exam was the best way to study because he ended up passing his exit exam for EMT when no one else in my class has done so as of yet. The fact that my app is updated, I restarted both the app and my phone, and still not showing up even with me paying to access all features is just not acceptable to me. If possible I would love to be reached out with some assistance so that this issue can be resolved but until then my rating is not exceeding 3 stars.

    Developer Response

Hi there! We're so glad to hear that your friend passed his exam and that he recommended our mock exam to you! While we are testing this new quiz mode out, it is available to a randomized subset of our members. With that said, we would be more than happy to add you to the beta! You can open Settings in the app and go to Help & Message Center > Contact Support, just drop us a message that you want to test out our new Mock Exam feature and I will get you added to the list. You can also just send an email to support@pocketprep.com.
  • Passed my NREMT

I just passed my NREMT EMT. I failed it the first time miserably, got so mad and disappointed in myself, And I heard about this app.. I studied every day for 6-7 hours a day. The test shut off at 70 questions. Using this app definitely helped calm my test anxiety. Since the questions were very similar. Big tip ! Learn everything there is about the heart / lungs / diabetes/ and types of breathing and there reasoning. Also when you see medical terminology you don’t understand, research it and remember the term. Learn about the chambers of the heart and how they pump and the electrical nodes. I’m not sure why I don’t see enough straight to the point tips... people make it seem like the test is complex when it’s not if you know your stuff

  • Passed Paramedic NR with 80 questions

This app prepares you well to take the NR. Most of the questions on the app are hard and really make you think.(you know the easy stuff so why study it?). I passed with the minimum amount of questions due to this app. I did all questions available and reattempted my missed questions to above 80%. I got a lot of questions wrong at first. The explanations taught me a lot. Right before the test I could get atleast an 80% on all tests. The format of the questions on this app greatly increases your testing skills and leaves you more than ready to absolutely slam the national registry test.
