5 star content, 1 star App
I love S&S but the app has big problems. It is impossible to listen to an entire episode offline despite it being downloaded because there is some background subscription checker that requires the internet. I understand the need to validate the subscription but it needs to be less often. Maybe if you pay by the month, check it monthly? App is also heavy on data usage even trying to listen to downloaded episodes. You also can’t access the player menu after starting a downloaded episode unless you back out to the main menu.
Edit- problem is fixed if you delete and reinstall. Will be 5/5 if you allow us to filter played episodes

The ONLY podcast I pay money to hear more of!
My favourite podcast by far, absolutely love it! I’m from Australia and was searching for true crime, with all the gritty details. In the list Sword & Scale came up…. Strange name for anything to do with true crime but I’ll have a listen. OMG!! Amazing! Now I eat up anything of Mike Boudet’s creation up with a spoon, more like a ladle haha

Great podcast, app needs work
Love the podcast. Best true crime out there. The app is extremely glitchy though. Constantly have to close out or refresh. Logs me out nearly every time. Just a ton of glitches in general. For an app you pay monthly for, I’d expect better. Again though, the content is great. Just need to work on significantly improving the app.

The real deal
Finally a true crime show that isn’t more worried about cow towing to the sensibilities of True Crime Karen’s and SJW’s who are more concerned about the virtue signaling of hosts than the truth. He doesn’t feign outrage over using the right magnate or fluffing up one side of a story or another based on a subjective and ever changing victimhood hierarchy.
If you want to listen to true crime without emotional manipulation or feigned moralizing designed solely to please the TC cult, this is your guy. Join us. He will tell you the story and call it straight without any regard for checking with the “tone” police beforehand. Bad guys come in all shapes, sizes, genders, sexualities, colors, belief systems and political spectrums. Bad guys can turn out to be good guys and victims can turn out to be perpetrators. What you’ll get listening to this show is a guy who tells the actual story no matter where it takes him.

Missing basic features
While I do enjoy the podcast, and am paying monthly to listen to it, this app makes it almost impossible to do. If you start listening to an episode and have to pause it and leave the app, it doesn’t remember where you left off. This seems like the most basic of features for a media playing app. I’m unsubscribing until this is sorted out because it’s making listening to an episode a chore, which I’d really rather not pay money to do.

New app full of bugs
My account is linked to my FB. FB login doesn’t work, thus no access to my account and Plus. Real mess.
I pay but
this app sucks. Importing RSS from his website gets all but the first 50 episodes. I don't listen to rewind & other things; maybe later. Just the main pod & plus is awesome. Other true crime boring, giggling, and/or full of ads. I recommend Overcast app, others like Pocket Casts, & of course Apple podcasts. Update: The website is now also garbage with login issues, FAQ's removed, etc. I paid & enjoyed for a year, though, taking my $ elsewhere.

Every episode I listen to Mike talk about this app. I just signed up for the plus because I love this podcast and I hate this app. Your unable to rewind or skip forward. I’ve been logged out randomly already and I’ve only had it since last week. I’m just here for the great content but this app makes me want to stab my self with a fork

Amazing transformation.
I have been a listener for a very long time since the beginning actually. And I hear the difference in the audio from the beginning and the content and the growth of your voice from then to now is amazing. I have always been a fan and always will. I have no problem with your comments nor the content. I have tried to listen to others and it’s not the same. You have totally spoiled me and the maturity of the podcast to where it is now is truly a feat not matched anywhere. I will not stop listening till you stop broadcasting. Hopefully you will not. Who cares what those other unhappy scared people think. Only scared people lash out to try to make everyone feel like them. I am so happy you didn’t let them tear you down. SASHole for life. I even have my stickers on my car. Loyal fan since year one. Started with sticher and moved to Apple now I have my glorious app. Registering from the beginning of plus, then back to the regular.
