Crashes

I am unable to do the “Vocabulary N5” because it keeps crashing when you do the normal mode for quiz.

Love it but so much is missing :(

Updated: The concept is absolutely lovely and includes all faceted you need to learn Japanese effectively, just like in class! The exercises are JLPT style and very helpful. I cannot wait for it to be fully developed as it’s a fun way to practice every day and keep your skills up.

I would wait though, because the developer is currently working on finishing it so there are still a lot of things missing. But once it’s done, I’m sure it’ll be a great app.

Amazing app so far, but I’d love to have a placement test.

I really like this app. I love the layout and the way it’s organized. But I recommend making an optional placement test if you can, so users can see what level they are and what they should skip. Thank you:)

Some slight issues…

The app looks decent, and has good content, however, sometimes when I complete an exercise it says I got 50 when I really got 100. Not sure why this happens, but it is annoying as I have to do each subject 2-4 times in order to get the 100 even though I got it each time.

Palatable grammar for short attention spans

If you got a goldfish attention span like me, this app is pretty good in getting the basics of grammar. After struggling to go through the genki textbook and tae Kim’s grammar, I just decided that an app is easier for learning as an absolute beginner.

Now I’m not necessarily saying that an app can replace stuff like tae Kim or genki, but at the very least I can punch out some grammar per day and try to retain bite size info.

Disappointed that this is a subscription model. There isn’t really enough updates to justify the lack of a “lifetime” purchase. However I still think it’s a solid app and you don’t have to pay anything if you don’t want to.

I would rate higher

I would rate higher, honestly it’s a super underrated app but the only thing that bothers me are the occasional bugs now and then like kicking you out and for a new language learner, personally the fact that the ranks don’t load sometimes is a little upsetting.

Great place to learn Japanese!

This is a wonderful app to learn Japanese on! It builds a great foundation and helps anyone get off their feet in the confusing language that is Japanese.

Crashes after update

I just want to start with I LOVE this app, it’s well organized, easy to navigate, and fun! However, ever since it got updated whenever I finish a set of exercises it crashes. And the progress from completing the exercise doesn’t get saved. Again, I still love this app. I 100% recommend it, crashing and all.
