Leave a Review MoneyWiz 2024 Personal Finance
Best finance app
I’ve been using MoneyWiz since December 2014. I tried many other finance apps before landing on MoneyWiz. MoneyWiz suits my needs because I can use it without connecting it with my bank account (I’m probably part of the minority that prefers to manually enter transactions and reconcile them). I also appreciated how I was able to import previous transactions I was storing in spreadsheets. MoneyWiz and definitely evolved over the years and it’s been for the better. While I’ve only encountered a handful of issues over the years, the MoneyWiz support team has been right there for me when I needed them. MoneyWiz Support has always been prompt and courteous when working to resolve issues. I’ve been a long time MoneyWiz user and look forward to continue using it for years to come.Show lessGreat Product, Excellent Customer Service
I have been using Quicken Mac for quite some time now, but I feel that the software is becoming too complex and not as user-friendly as it used to be. Recently, I switched to MoneyWiz and found it to be an excellent alternative. Although I did face some trouble with one of my banks, the customer support team, especially Paul, was very helpful and is helping me with the issue. I was also impressed with their communication throughout the process. It's hard to find a business that values communication with its customers, but MoneyWiz exceeded my expectations. Overall, I highly recommend MoneyWiz to anyone looking for a user-friendly and customer-focused financial management software.Show lessThis app is a mess.
I was trying to move from another app because I need a better way to do my budgets; I have about 3 years of transactions stored in the other app, which can export to CSV and QIF.
First mess happened when I tried to connect my accounts online. I was dissappointed when I noticed only 20% of my accounts can be linked to the bank (and btw is the 20% I use the less), the other 80%, including big firms like HSBC and Apple Card need to be handled manually, which makes it not worth buying the premium plan. For the 20% of accounts that I was able to connect online, second mess, because all the transactions are wrong: final balances are adjusted to match the current balance, but if you go a couple of months in the past there are dozens of missing transactions and wrong types (e.g. a payment to a credit card shown as an expense in the credit card)... all of these accounts coming from 2 different banks (PayPal and Chase) turned out to show balances of hundreds of dollars in the previous months (I wish I had that credit limit!). And finally, importing QIFs and CSV is another mess: this app does not like times or negative values. When importing a QIF, about half of the transactions I imported (out of hundreds of them) were multiplied by 100, so I had to manually go to each one to adjust the value.
Then there's also the thing about the 7-day trial... that's only about enough time to finish importing everything.Show lessDeveloper Response
