Works well, when it works
I wish I could give this powerful little app more stars. NerdWallet is one of my favorite financial websites. They do it right — break down complicated language into understandable articles, provide insights and recommendations for improving your financial standing, and much more.
Their app leaves quite a bit to be desired, though. Like the title states: the app works well, if it works at all. It feels like 75% of the time I open the app I’m met with some error (the latest has been “we’re having trouble connecting..” at the log in screen which forced me to delete and redownload the whole app). If I’m able to log in, then I likely have to relink one of my accounts and go through the brutally repetitive process of using Plaid (their 3rd-party account linking service). Experiences like this make this app feel frustrating and unreliable.
Still, when it works, this app is powerful and insightful. It makes me feel more in control of my financial health.Show lessBest finance app for me. Thanks to the developers
I was so impatient to carry out necessary research but i really wanted to jump on the crypto trading and investment buzz.
Unfortunately for me, I invested 65,000 GBP
worth of bitcoin with a fraudulent company. I was happy to watch my account grow to 240,000 GBP within a couple of weeks. But i didn't realize i was dealing with a scam company, until i tried to make an attempt to withdraw. I made a withdrawal request, and noticed my account was suddenly blocked for no apparent reason. I tried contacting customer support, but all to no avail. I needed my money back at all cost, because i could not afford to let it go. So i tried all possible means to make sure i recovered my scammed bitcoin. I did a lot of online search for help, and tried to see if there were other people who had any similar experience. I stumbled upon a cryptocurrency forum were a couple of people mentioned that they had been through the same process but were able to recover their lost cryptocurrency, funds with the help of Meghantalkswealth on Instagram So i file a report and she was able to help me get back all my lost funds within two weeks i feel indebted to her. Apart from trying to express my gratitude to them once again using this medium, I will recommend anybody who wants to recover scammed bitcoin, stolen cryptocurrency, funds lost to binary options forex, investment and any other form of online scam, reach out to Meghantalkswealth on InstagramShow lessIt’s got potential, but not for me
I’m looking for a new budgeting/financial planner app, now that Mint’s demise is in the horizon. Really wanted this one to work but not quite there yet. It only links accounts via Plaid, and apparently my investment bank (Fidelity) is not supported!! If this wasn’t enough of a reason for me to skip the app, I found the budget categories to be missing a lot of key categories, and there is no option to add new categories. The dashboard displays cash flow from week by week, which makes no sense considering monthly bills (going to the cash flow page was more like I’d expect, showing monthly cumulative expenses, month over month for trending, so then what’s the dashboard for?). No option to customize the dashboard either. Sorry NW, I really wanted to make this work, but the app is pretty rough, and if I have to choose between NW and a paid app that offers what I need, maybe I need to accept that it may cost money to get the features I used to get from Mint for free.Show less
