My experience with Berry Plant has been nothing short of a nightmare. When I moved into the house, I was greeted by a stench that was later revealed to be caused by pigeon feces infesting the ceiling. This, in turn, led to a full-blown blowfly infestation, with these pests invading the house through every available opening, including the ceiling ducts, laundry extraction fan, bathroom extraction fan, and downstairs toilet extraction fan. The constant presence of pigeons has made the house practically uninhabitable, given the persistent foul odor they bring.
To make matters worse, despite 11 pigeons being removed, the pigeon problem in the roof persists, indicating a complete lack of proper pest management by Berry Plant. It's clear that they didn't conduct a thorough inspection or cleaning after the previous tenants left.
Furthermore, I discovered defects in the property, such as improperly cleaned carpets, suggesting a lack of attention to detail on their part. This is especially concerning for an inner-city townhouse where the risk of pests like rodents in the ceilings should be actively managed.
Adding to my frustration, I was rented the property without a functioning heating system, which is a basic legal requirement and Instead of addressing the pigeon issue promptly, Berry Plant's staff offered no real assistance and claimed it was beyond their ability to resolve given there experience and knowledge
Overall, my month-long experience with Berry Plant has been a series of disappointments, with most of the problems remaining unresolved. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice, as their lack of responsibility and inability to manage property issues have made my living situation unbearable.
