App issues fixed

When I first got this app, it was buggy and unusable as described by the other reviews.
After calling Actron support, turned out that the firmware on my control panel was out of date and unsupported. Once Actron remotely updated all the firmware to the latest version, this app has worked flawlessly for months.

Make sure you update on the neo controller and other system firmware!

Feature request -- please add the ability to edit schedules through the app!

Hi NingZisyd, Thanks for your feedback. 1. This was due to a minor issue in the wall controller firmware which we have fixed on the latest. It should have already been updated via Over The Air firmware update. 2. We have addressed the connectivity issues in the latest mobile app version (1.0.4). FINALLY FIXED - LOVE IT!!!

I’ve gotta say after going back and forth with Actron Air’s Tech Support team, they have quickly fixed the app crashing by updating to a new version.
So please update the app as it’s working absolutely perfect now - well done team 🙌🏼
I tested all the capabilities and settings of the app and the communication back to the wall controller is only a few seconds.
I LOVE THIS APP NOW and use my Actron Air conditioner constantly.

Hi Raygess, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are aware that some users with older Apple devices may be experiencing stability issues with the latest update of our NEO Connect app version 1.0.3. As we work on resolving this issue, affected users can still operate their air conditioning system using the wall controller in the meantime. Subscribed NEO users have been updated and will continue to be sent updates.

Usually good but it’s crashed

We’ve been using this app for three weeks and it’s been great. Our control is downstairs so the app allows us to control the air con from our upstairs bedroom; except the app currently isn’t working! I keep trying to open it on my phone and it crashes, won’t open at all. I’ve tried rebooting my phone and also deleting the app and reinstalling multiple times. I hope tech fixes this asap!!

Terrible

The app frequently fails to connect to the controller "your system appears to be offline". Let's say 90% of the time. If it does connect, and you make a selection (adjust the temp or turn a zone on or off), it displays that change, but then a few seconds later it reverts to the previous selection. If at home we usually walk to the controller to make changes. If you set a new schedule, the initial start time is 1 year ahead. You can adjust that to fix the date. If a schedule starts and then you stop it, the next start time reverts to being 1 year ahead again. Generally the app is terrible. For a $1000 controller spruiking itself with this app, we're pretty disappointed.

The worst app

I have been very patient with this app. We need it for our aircon (unfortunately) and have been using it for roughly 6 mths now. I was hoping that it was just glitchy in the beginning but it has been awful the whole time. It consistently says Network Communication Error and says it’s offline (when it’s not). When it finally connect ls after several attempts to restart the app it then takes a good 5 mins to make the change you want to do. It keeps reverting back to the original setting.
Very frustrating to use! Please please please get this fixed!

Awful

Got to be without doubt the worst app I have ever used.
It rarely manages to connect to the system. Every time I open the app I get the message “Your system seems to be offline. Please check the status of your wall controller.” On the rare occasion it actually does connect to the system, it then frequently won’t do what you ask e.g if you try to use the app to turn the system off, it will display your selection for a few seconds before changing back to whatever it was before. The app works about 5% of the time, and given the cost of the whole system, it is absolutely ridiculous. We had no choice in air conditioner - it was the one selected by the builder - but it has been a complete and utter waste of money. If I could give a rating of no stars I would.

Poor implementation

The app is barely usable, as others have said it’s constantly stating system offline and when I set a control it often takes multiple attempts to make a change stick by which time I’ve typically given up and walked to the screen. Having worked on IOT devices myself it’s not that hard to get this right. I’d be happy to lend a hand to get this app working properly.
