  • It works well!

I was expecting to be able to choose what specific soundfonts are used in sf2 packs, but it doesn't seem to have that feature. However, this app does it job and does it well. Great job!

Hi, thanks for your feedback! I'm not sure what you mean by SF2 packs -- a quick search shows that SF2 packs are simply SF2 SoundFonts bundled inside a zip file. You should be able to use the Files app the decompress the zip file and access the SF2 SoundFonts within it. Maybe you're referring to choosing which samples within a SoundFont you want to use?
  • Simple and very handy

The 2.11 update added what I was looking for.
    Thank You!

Thank you for your kind words!
  • Broken

Used to work but with the new update it won’t let me open files
  • Good but could be improved

I'd like to drag & drop MIDI file from Finder to NS MIDI Player to immediately start playing.
  • Great Simple Player

Thank you to the developer for providing this simple and easy MIDI player. Great for previewing files and play along with the sheet music. Very happy. I hope it will be Big Sur compatible.

Thank you for the kind words! The app is already compatible with Big Sur and Apple silicon, I just haven't updated the screenshots yet.
  • Uses as Default MIDI Viewer

This is a great to use as the default Previewer for MIDI files. It take to long to open GarageBand. just to listen to MIDI file.
    Note:
Please add which file is currently playing it the Menu Bar so seeing the name of the file playing is visable.

    Thanks!

Hi, thanks for leaving a review! If you're running macOS 11.0 Big Sur or later, there is a system-provided Now Playing icon in the menu bar. Clicking on that will tell you which file is playing right now. On older macOS versions, you'll need to look at the Now Playing widget in Notification Center. Hope this helps!
  • It’s missing everything!

Honestly, I sorta like it, but it doesn’t have all the sound when I put a Soundfont, I don’t know if it’s the Soundfont or the app.
  • Just one problem.

When I add an SoundFomt it says “Can’t Initialize MIDI Player. Help?
