This app used to be ok even in the free version. Now the ads run soooooo long the whole thing is a joke!

Mostly Good

This app does what it says it’ll do. Don’t expect miracles if your Stamp has a really dark cancellation, pick a better stamp and it will find your number in no time. make sure you have good lighting as well, and if you can’t they still hold it steady on a small box about four or 5 inches above the stamp on the table. this app is a timesaver no question about it. Hold still

Not long downloaded this and tried to take a picture of my first stamp, will it let me NO it keeps telling me to hold still “IM NOT TOUCHING THE PHONE ITS ON A STAND” there is no moving of the phone I don’t under stand, Finely let me take the picture 5 minutes later it’s telling me there is no stamp, seriously it’s in front of me I can see it, it exists ugh not for me it’s ridiculous.

To ensure the best results when capturing a stamp, please consider the following tips: 1. Picture Quality: Ensure the picture is clear and in focus. 2. Background: Crop out any unnecessary background so that only the stamp is visible. 3. Alignment: Align the stamp as it appears in its catalog entry. Our app offers three capture modes: - Automatic: Best for quick captures. - Semi-Automatic: Allows you to capture when you're ready. - Manual: Lets you manually crop the image. Try Manual mode if you have difficulties with automatic modes. If you continue to have issues, please tap "Can't find your stamp?" in the app to send a report. This allows us to manually inspect your picture and provide a result.

Great app

Excellent app with very high percentage of success identifying stamps. Twice now I have had a small problem with it but in both instances I reported the problem and updates to fix them were soon installed.

auto capture does not work well / matching algorithms seems bad

I would happily upgrade to the pro subscription version if I could get this app to work for me But the auto capture function is erratic They capture box jumps around and most often captures a random part of the envelope and then submit it for match. When I use the submit photo function, it does not come back with good matches e.g I submitted a Hardin stamp, and all of the matches that came backward of George Washington
I have an iPhone 13 pro - running iOS 16.7.

I really like it!

Understand, this app is not 100% accurate. This is especially true with some minor stamp variations/varieties, but 90%+ of the time I get an accurate search with the basic stamp ID/number. I usually will do a Google search of the ID and verify that it is correct. As a newcomer to collecting, it has been super helpful as I don’t have 100s or 1000s of dollars to drop on a full catalogue library. As long as you aren’t expecting 100% perfection, you will be happy with this app.
