Has GREAT Potential
I am loving the potential of this app, so I went ahead and bought the lifetime membership, but... I really don't understand what I am having to force the app to quit EVERY TIME I complete a task. I knwo that this application is still new, but this is something that has got to fixed asap.
Nice idea but frustrating
I’m a regular user of Planning and To-Do Apps and as Apple was recommending Planny I’ve given it a try for the last week and purchased one of the quarterly subscriptions.
In short, my experience of Planny has been frustrating.
There are some nice things about it: Live Actions is great to have. Workflows are also a nice idea.
But overall the app implementation is frustrating and at times baffling.
I followed the FAQs and Support pages, but even so I encountered the following:
Notifications don’t work for me at all, despite following the devs advice on their support page.
Tags list will show as still having tasks in the list even when there is no task to complete.
Calendar events are shown in daily briefing to start the day, but then don’t appear in the Planny Calendar alongside tasks after that.
When I change the date of a task and move it to another day, it stops appearing in tags or lists completely.
I have reached out to the devs via email, but no reply yet, so maybe these are all issues they’re aware of or else I’m doing something really wrong.
IMO Planny feels like a really good app that hasn’t quite appeared yet. At the moment it feels over-complicated and a bit random. At the end of the day if you need a manual to keep using a planner/to-do list then IMO it’s purpose is defeated.
I’m on a 14 Pro using latest iOS 16.1

Not great on Mac
Actions are slow. There's no direct manipulation. You need to open everything up in a dialog box to change it. And there are different dialog boxes just to change the title of a to-do vs. put it in a different color / list, etc. This is not Mac-like and gets tedious. A day planner needs to be more fast and fluid so you can get back to your work ASAP.

Not easy
Tried playing with the free version and it’s so restrictive that it’s hard to learn what this app can actually do. Unintuitive interface. Can’t see risking money on the premium version when it’s so difficult trying to figure out and navigate the free version. Rated it 5 stars because it’s obviously been a useful app to others, but it just didn’t work for me. Not trying to be malicious and bring there rating down.

Lovely App But Annoying Bugs
Nice app, great features but there are a few persistent bugs which aren’t getting resolved with each update. While I like the app, the fact I can’t rely on it to work correctly is very annoying since I purchased the Lifetime version for £44.99. For such an expensive app I would expect it to work flawlessly. I certainly wouldn’t expect the same on-going bugs a number of months down the line. Because of this I’m having to revert back to my previous apps, which were both a lot cheaper and work as described. Very disappointed and annoyed that I bought this app.

Best Planning App I've been able to find!
I've tried countless journal, planners, task, to do apps and Planny beats them all! The interface is clean and easy to use, the Plan your day feature is extremly helpful with time management and the color coding options are great! My only issue is when trying to edit a task you are only able to edit the title/text or need to delete and remake the task with any edits you may have had. Other than that 10/10 def would recommend!

I really want to like this app. It's really very nice, but there is one real drawback: you cannot forward an email into an inbox as a to do. This prevents this app from being truly to me.

Incredibly Effective, Love it!
As an ADHDer, it can be very hard to find an app that consistently keeps you on track. After trying I don't know how many productive planner apps, this is the first one that's worked for me for more than a few weeks. I love the simple design, the customization tools, and the little confetti when you finish all of your tasks... the little details such as that can make all the difference for picky people Planny can be a simple to-do list or can tailor to your needs through its many different functions. Reason I'm knocking off a star is that a good amount of the functions come with a premium, which I find just a few bucks out of my price range. But, if you're not a person like me (who generally switched planners every few weeks), the price isn't bad as long as you know you're going to stick to it.
I run Planny on my Macbook and I love how I can simply click the app and it opens to all of my tasks in the same place, and that I can easily move those tasks around. Glad I came across the app.
