The games premise is very simple. Recruit and send out troops to fight monsters. Eventually you will fail, but you can return home and spend your jewels on upgrades for your troops to become stronger next time. Each time you play you tend to get a little bit further, earning more jewels the further you get. You level up your tools through coins which you get from quests which is just a clicker type game. Keep tapping to upgrade is all that is required, ramping up the coins to upgrade your troops. You can tap on monsters to add damage, and as you get further, more things unlock that help bolster your troops. So you will spend most of your time just tapping. It is therefore extremely easy to play but the depth is still there despite all you do is tap. Normal, hard modes and more, including also a handful of events means the game has a fair bit of content and is still regularly as of this review being added to by the devs. The game is NOT at all pay to win, however if you get properly into it then you will probably find yourself wanting to get rid of the ads and the game is admittedly much better for it (and the auto tap attack). Those purchases were fully my choice and I still easily could have completed the game without them, and considering the DAYS I’ve put into this game, I was quite happy to support the devs. Even after completing the game, there is still the events such as “giant maze search” and “forest defence battle” which are seemingly “go as far as you can” modes that have no end but failure (at least… I’ve never beaten them if they do!) and so even after you beat the story modes there’s still stuff to do. I’m now moving onto the underwood prison that was recently added. Very simple addictive and fun game that has me hooked.
