Awful for anyone with allergies or dietary needs

95% of the information you need about the food you are buying (eg the actual ingredients, and whether or not it might contain something you are allergic to - eg, nuts, gluten etc) is not available on this app. The quality of the photos provided is so poor that, even if they have (rarely) put up an in focus photo of the back of the product, you cannot zoom in enough to read the ingredients or product information. So frustrating. No point in phoning the store either. Shopping takes 10 times as long and we regularly end up with food we cannot eat because warning labels are not listed on the app.

Needs work

Need to add the ingredients of each product so the consumer can make informed decisions. Also, would be great to go to previous orders and reorder individual items.

Nice to have a delivery app, shame it is so user unfriendly

There are a lot of updates with this app, each time I hope it gets better but sadly not.
Terrible stock control.
Almost always get a call stuff is not in stock, whilst when I am in the shop there is plenty of said product.
It’s basic and frustrating.
As a working parent I love not having to go to the supermarket but this app is just too basic.

Okay App, Horrible Customer Service

Placing the order on the app is an okay experience. However, they NEVER pick up the phone. So, if you ever have an issue or need to contact customer service, you are on your own. A complete fail.

EXCELLENT SERVICE AND DELIVERY

I have placed 8-10 large online orders from Spinney’s. Never once have I had a problem with my orders.
I shop in bulk. Having these items delivered, LITERALLY TO MY KITCHEN, is a tremendous help to me. The drivers are very professional and always have a friendly smile which is a plus and nice to see:-)
The call center warehouse is also very helpful and friendly when I need assistance with searching an item.
Spinney’s online shopping and delivery saves me so much time and effort. Easy peasy and consistent GREAT SERVICE with a smile, EVERY TIME:)

Poor stock control, items go missing

The app does not show accurate stock so there are frequently things out of stock even on an order for less than 24 hours later. Also, extremely irritatingly, if you put things in your basket in advance of the order things just get deleted out of your basket with no notice. I imagine it’s a stock issue but there’s no notification something has been removed so if you’re doing a large family shop it is horribly irritating to think you’ve ordered mince only to find it not there and you’ve not been told to try and find a substitute. Not good enough when other shopping apps manage this. Shopping elsewhere now - you’ve lost a customer.

Great in concept, poor app design

When it works, this is great and the back end service is excellent. However, the app stability is really poor and probably crashes 4/5 times. Sort this and it would be great, but pretty worthless as is.

Dear user, Sorry for the inconvenience, Those crashes happen due to one of our third party framework issue that came to us after few days. The issue is completely fixed in version 1.4.5. Thanks for reporting. Please keep update to the new version.

They contact you to inform you that half of the items are not available. Delivered item will be near expiry date, not fresh and not stored correctly which can be dangerous to our health.
