  • Good concept, can't edit profile

I recently moved and enjoyed the app while I was at my old place. I can't edit the profile to change my summary and there isn't a support section for the app to let them know.

Couldn't find an email or phone number either so maybe they'll see this comment
  • Horrible Tech & Customer Service

I’ve been trying to delete my account for almost a week now as I don’t have a use for it anymore. I tried the “Delete Account” button on the app and clicking it doesn’t navigate to anything (aka it’s useless). I wanted to try on the full desktop website, but there’s no Delete Account button. So, I’ve been going back and forth via email and the only response I’m getting is “we’re waiting on tech”. They’re pretty much going in circles and I don’t actually know the process or ETA of when my account will be deleted considering I haven’t heard anything from the “tech” team. Regarding the actual use of app- I paid for 1 year via Apple but never used it, so can’t really comment on how useful it is. Trying to update my profile was a disaster (I tried clearing my bio and saving but it never actually saves). Would give this 0 stars if I could, as I’ve never had this much trouble deleting an account. Considering I’ve never left a review on the App Store, you can imagine how frustrated I am with this app.

  • If you want bugs, look no further

Downloaded this app very excited to try it. Deleted it within a day because the app is so buggy, it’s almost unusable. You can’t even edit your profile because the save button in the UI doesn’t work. Won’t be downloading again. I recommend the makers of this app to spend more money on development and less on marketing

  • Poor App Functionality

For an app that primarily allows people to post when they're free and chat, it does a very poor job of doing those very basic things. Often my messages do not go through. The community is great -- have met a few people on this app, but consistently communicating with them through it is exhausting. Message still stuck after attempting 5 minutes ago. Hard to believe I pay for this...

  • Buggy unstable app.

It’s the first time I’ve ever written a review on app in my life. What a disappointment. It is buggy and the UI does not respond properly and I have to click a button a million times for it to respond. I can’t see my messages either. It crashes unexpectedly all the time. And they still have the audacity to ask you to join a paid subscription with a poor app experience??

I finally got so fed but I tried to delete it, but of course the ‘delete account’ button in the setting doesn’t respond and you can’t delete.

  • Frustrating Experience with Poor Customer Support

I had a very bad experience with PlayYourCourt. I signed up for a one-year subscription but unfortunately didn’t use the service. As the renewal period approached, I tried multiple times to contact them through the form available in the app, asking for help on how to cancel the subscription. Unfortunately, I never received a response.

As a result, my subscription was automatically renewed for another year without giving me a chance to cancel or get any assistance. The lack of communication from their side was extremely frustrating. My only option was to open a dispute with credit card, which now requires me to provide proof of my attempts to contact them — something I don’t have.

Even though I had previously recommended PlayYourCourt to friends, my experience made me change my mind. Be cautious if you’re considering a subscription with them. I do not recommend this app, and my rating reflects my dissatisfaction with their service.

  • Worse than using website

My biggest gripe is really how the app missing things that the website can do a decent job with. Bracket update is not showing up in the app until it starts. Reporting score is clunky. I’m a major proponent of app vs website since most apps provide a much better experience than browser.
This is the first time in a while where the browser wins hands down. If that’s the case, why bother having an app

  • Terrible app

The budget they spent on advertising would’ve been needed in developing the app. Extremely buggy, I cancel an event and no matter what I do it still shows up in the app. Was not able to meet with anyone. Also, they advertised it on Instagram as “travel friendly” there’s a girl that says on an Ad that thanks to the app you can find people everywhere. Boy have I ever been lied to. I travel for work and was really excited about this. Changing your location (which you’d think should be at most 1 tap) takes you 5 taps buried somewhere in a little menu. Needs a lot of work. The “feed” is probably the worst part about this app. You’d think this is about playing tennis and finding people to play or coach you. Oh no, that’s like just as important to the app as it is to “shop”. There’s no hierarchy, no order on that feed because everything is mixed up there. Some random training videos and the people actually offering to play. Again, horrendous app I really want my money back. Going to keep just showing up at clubs and asking for a ball machine…

  • Not the best

The app does not allow you to add a profile picture, even though it has the option to change it; it simply does not work. The chat feature is also non-functional, and canceling your membership is very difficult. I still can’t find out how to do it, and support has not been helpful. I have tried emailing them, but they have not replied.

  • Product feedback

App needs serious product development. Users should have ability to find tennis partners with filtering features. For example, users should be able to narrow tennis partners by specific location such as a town. Also, the “Distance willing to travel” field should also have options less than 10 miles. For example, I might only want to meet players within 5 miles because I don’t drive.

Also why are basic features not available like the ability to delete messages? Inbox is already getting cluttered.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We understand the need for further product development to enhance the user experience. Users should indeed be able to find tennis partners using more specific filters, such as by town and with travel distances less than 10 miles. We recognize that some users might only want to meet players within a short distance, especially if they don't drive. We’re pleased to inform you that these features are available. Please ensure you are using the latest version of our app, and if you have any issues accessing these features, feel free to contact our support team at support@playyourcourt.com. Your insights are crucial to us as we continue to improve our service. Thank you for your patience and feedback.
