Got bored
I played this game with an open mind and at first I was impressed. The game started out fun but then quickly felt monotonous. I found myself playing a Pokémon unite instead after a few matches (because I can’t play my preferred moba anymore). The quick gameplay is cool but it just feels like it’s missing something. Maybe I’ll keep trying to play and see if I end up liking it more and possibly changing my review but for now 1 star.Show lessOnlyMediocre
Fun. Small issue
Gameplay is fun. Loadouts are good. Abilities seem good too. Weapon variety. Etc. Problem? Queue for game. Queue pops… “server is full” and you get kicked back to the main screen. Kind of annoying as it can happen a bunch of times in a row. That’s really the only issue I’ve seen so far.

Fun and all but
I can sense that this is coming out of SEMC- feels smooth and is definetely some fun right out of the box. However I feel there is not much depth to it- games are very fast paced, kinda like the quick modes in Vainglory. And that is exactly why I can’t give more than 3 stars as well. I am missing those intense 25min 3v3 games where - yes one troll could ruin the whole game - but I was sure to leave a match with anger or goosebumpbs from loosing/winning. This game does not even come close to that and it is NOT a replacement for VG.
To SEMC: Happy that you made this- but please bring back VG for all of your real fans out here, cause this - lets play a quick 4 mins match in the subway - ain’t cuttin’ it.Show lessFlovb

After going through the pain of suddenly being dropped by the developers when vainglory was still around I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I’m not a fan of the Fortnite style, childish graphics so that is the other primary reason I am giving it 4 stars. But I would be lying if I said that the game is not fun or unique. There are definitely elements to this that make it competitive and I’m not even sure if I would classify this as a moba. It can become quite addictive and I do enjoy the mechanics. Again, my only qualms are the graphic styles and the fact that SEMC suddenly left their fanbase hanging on a moments notice with no heads up what so ever. It makes me hesitant to invest time or money into the game knowing the developers already have a history of letting their loyal communities down by dropping us the way they did. I’m sure there was more to the story, but that one hurt and even though time has gone by the emotions are still raw. All in all it is great game that I would recommend checking out at the very least, but hopefully it doesn’t end the way that vainglory did.Show lessI am N0 One

I would consider myself a veteran of Super Evil Megacorp games as I played Vainglory since its initial release. I was rather skeptical about this game at first but after having played it I would definitely recommend it to everyone. The gameplay is pretty fluid and well designed, HOWEVER certain aspects of the game such as the progression system seem rather unpolished. Having said that these are issues which can definitely be ironed out so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.Show lessC0ldRice

This new game is similar to the Brawl Stars in the game pattern, but have more sophisticated game scene in some details. The ability of transfiguration is most essential element that distinguish it from old games. But there is one respect require to improve , the UI of the game is a little bit simple and crude, the gameplay is perfect and should focus on the fine arts. And I know after creating new game ,it probably weaken SEMC’s capital, but don’t forget to save vainglory, many of game players are looking forward to see their precious memories.Show lesslonly bro

Just started playing Slayer PVP first game. I cannot compete one game. Half way through the game just cuts out and returns to the main Catalyst Black menu with no evidence of progression. I have tried to play 3 times, same thing kept happening. iPhone 11Nicknamerfgh

Pretty disappointed tbh. It’s a 3rd person shooter where you move around and win as a team. Except no one is working as a team. Everything is so chaotic and everyone is going doing their own thing and not well. In the Hydra mode especially, there’s 3 objectives to win from, my team is focusing on none of them. They’re just farming kills from people with 0 lives while our overseer is being taken by one person because that’s apparently all you need. Chasing in this game is impossible because a lot of the weapons slow you while firing, while the enemy just rolls or blinks every 2 seconds, and then what do you know, they’re full hp again. Even if it wasn’t for that, the combat is so one dimensional, and you just wait for your primal and then just transform and chase isolated people. You can’t even play the style of game you want because they’ve made loadouts pay to win for some reason. You’ve to farm xp and infuse to get stronger so there’s a weapon you like? Better hope it’s been upgraded. So you end up playing the same weapon and load out over and over and I’m sure that won’t get boring. And then there’s the matchmaking, there isn’t any. Half the team feels like bots. And there’s absolutely no progression except ascension so you just keep getting matched in these low tier lobbies with clueless teammates who just run mid to feed over and over.
This game feels like brawlstars but worse in every single way.
