  • So great for potty training!

It’s great to finally be able to see a pattern. I’ve tried writing it down, an excel spreadsheet, and it’s no surprise that an app is easiest! Haha

I love that you can customize events you want to track and move them around.

Biggest thing with potty training is using the analytics to see behaviors on a grid.
  • $ to add more than 1 pet

I thought I found the winning app to track the allergy symptoms of my three dogs. Really easy interface, seemed pretty flexible on what you add and when, cute ability to upload a photo for your pet's profile BUTTTTTTT if you try to add more than 1 pet, you have to pay monthly. I have three dogs. I can see how this is an ideal app for somebody who has 1 animal, just not for me
  • Could update reminders..

Just started using this app and it seems to be just what I was looking for to track medications and behaviors with our dog. But would love to see the reminders automatically generate an event in the feed, especially daily ones so that you don’t have to check it off and then also remember to make an entry for it. Repeating daily reminders also seem to disappear after marking it as done. Otherwise the interface and functionality is great!
  • Works great for tracking feedings, medication and potty habits

We have three small dogs and three big cats. This all helps the whole family be part of their care instead of just me (mom). We all get nudges to check their diapers (two geriatric dogs on Lasix), let them outside and to administer medication. No longer have to group message their movements (bowels and otherwise).
  • Great app, could be better

Love the ability to track events and pre-plan events, but I don’t understand the reminders. If I set a reminder as recurring daily and then mark it as done, why does it disappear forever? Shouldn’t it only be marked done for the day and come back tomorrow? When a reminder is marked as done it shouldn’t it log that as a tracked event?

If reminders worked as expected and were tied to events I think this would be a 5 star for me.
  • Love, but minor tweaks

This app is just what my family needs. We decided to pay for premium because we have 4 pets total.

The only issue I’m having is the calendar is not syncing properly. For example, today is the 3rd, but I will mark events I log for the 4th. Please developers fix this. I love the app.

Also could there be a way that when you walk ALL dogs that instead of each individual dog showing up it has only one log for all. It’s making multiple entries.
  • Competent, but underwhelming

Basically, it does what it says on the tin. It’s very functional for logging things like potty times and food times. Having multiple people contributing works well. That’s it. It basically doesn’t do anything else.

For a fee there’s some premium analytics, which really is just one chart that you can interact with.

It’s helpful, but super basic. You can only visualize all events on the timeline or one event at a time. Want to see just eating and pooping events together at the same time? Nope. Want to know how consistent anything is? Be prepared to eyeball it.

All of this feels like wasted potential. Like it’s a few hours of development work away from being WAY more helpful.
  • Solid- with one request

This could be one of the most polished dog activity apps out there. Very well done. One request I have: a daily tally at the top of each day with total number of pees, poos, etc. that way I don’t have to manually figure this out. That would be a time saver.
  • Love this app - just one thing

It would be perfect if you could create one event that had multiple events under it. For example, if you take the dog for a walk, and he also poops and pees, we can make a note of it all together in one event, rather than having to add each event that happened separately but by using the cute little categories. Other than that, we love it!
  • Buggy release

The new release is useless. I can’t log anything. Yesterday I could, today I can’t. It’s either a critical bug OR they are now charging for basic functionality. I feel tricked with the update. The update notes say nothing about functionality changes. The plus, I can log for multiple pets and share with my spouse. Or, at least I could back when it worked.

    Developer Response

Hi! I see you're on app version 3.1.5 Please update to the lastest release (3.1.6), which already fixes the described issue. It was happening when Reduced Motion was enabled in iOS settings, sorry about that! If any issues persist, please write to feedback@dognote.app
