  • Great

It’s a great weather app. I like the simple visual nature of it. But sadly the sub is way more than I would pay.
  • The best hi-info instant-comprehension weather app out there

Tired of looking at columns of numbers and trying to form an internal visualization out of them, or wondering how the cloud cover and precipitation likelihood will actually change over time from those crazy weather symbols, etc.? You may find, like me, that this information-loaded, incredibly intuitive, wholistic, and instantly comprehensible weather app is the only one you need ... it did away with all my favorites accumulated over years of searching, except the couple I keep for alerts & radar. This amazing app translates reams of data into a visual representation that is immediately comprehensible by the day or week. The widgets in themselves convey such a quick understanding of the detailed weather picture that opening the app is often not necessary. Weather Strip should have 10 times the number of 5-star reviews shown on the App Store.

  • Great information clarity and density, but a bit dull

Weather Strip earns it place on my home screen with the amount of information it packs into each glance. It is a brilliant portrayal of the immediate situation and what’s to come. I think the design is brilliant, but I can’t say the same for the color scheme. The poor color choices are my reason for giving the app only four stars.

Weather Strip makes every day seem a bit gloomy and flat. I wish the developer at least provided one or two alternative color choices, and that one of these was a bit brighter. I would like a brighter sun in a bluer sky for the sunny days, darker more brooding clouds for the cloudy days, shinier snow, wetter rain. It would be wonderful if Weather Strip not only gave me the information at a glance, but helped me feel the weather at a glance.

Still, nothing else in the App Store comes close to matching Weather Strip yet. It will stay on my home screen even if it is a bit dull to look at.

  • A uniquely useful look at the weather

There’s nothing quite like Weather Strip. Once you get used to the interface, which takes about one minute for the first 98%, then a day for the rest, you can learn everything you need to know about the weather for today and for the week in five seconds, with more detail than any block of numbers and letters. More important, you get the feeling of weather trends at the same time. It’s like having a watch that’s both digital and analog at the same time — only for weather. The interface could use a little cleaning up, and I would love the ability to go backward in time and see yesterday’s weather, or last week’s.

  • Quick and Reliable Weather App

Review: WeatherStrip - Quick and Reliable Weather App

    Rating: ★★★★★

WeatherStrip is a reliable weather app that offers quick and accurate weather information from NOAA or Foreca (with premium subscription purchase). With its user-friendly interface, you can easily access essential weather details for current/future dates such as temperature, precipitation rate/time, wind speed, dew point/humidity, cloud cover, and even weather alerts, etc. It's a convenient tool for staying informed about the current and future 7 day weather conditions on the go! I use it several times a day and couldn’t do without it.

  • Clean, simple, but has everything you need

Compared to other weather apps, this one shows you so little. It's pared down to just about the absolute minimum a weather app could be. And yet it shows you everything you need to see. The temperature, cloudiness, precipitation, and wind for the next several hours (scrollable) and for the week. There is no need to interpret or drill down into the app’s UI; data is shown so clearly that from the moment you open the app, there's almost no need to scroll, tap, zoom, or do anything else to get at the weather data you want. The minimalist design lets the data shine through to the maximum extent possible, and it's beautiful.

  • Fantastic

I’ve tried many weather apps and this one works best for me - love the timeline view and all the info it gives in one place
  • Almost perfect

This app is brilliant. Firstly, it’s relatively accurate, which not all weather apps are. Secondly, the data presentation is ingenious. You can take in multiple aspects of the current and future climate simultaneously and at a glance. It’s great if you have solar panels because cloud cover is really easy to gauge from it, so you can plan your usage and what to do with charging batteries and cars and stuff.

    Absolutely worth the money.

It could be improved further if it also had and Apple Watch app. Just sayin’ ;)

  • Photography essential

Photographers especially landscape photographers need to know about the sunlight/cloud cover at locations. In other apps if cloud cover info is given at all its buried deep and given in vague % terms. This has already saved one wasted journey and made me stay an extra hour at another location and got some excellent shots
