  • Excellent idea but…

Great visualization of weather and excellent way to choose location for micro-weather reports.

Subscription is a new understood way of generating income, and this app offers 30 days free. My only complaint/ suggestion is tell me what the subscription cost will be UPFRONT. That way, if it is not cost effective, I have not used the app for 30 days. Seems fair, no?

  • Really nice looking weather app

This weather app has a great UI, scrolling through the day give me a detailed view of today’s and this weeks weather. I do wish there was a simple Apple Watch complication to go with it. That way I’m getting data from one app, rather than this app on my phone and the stock weather app on my watch… Weather alerts might be another feature to add. So far I’m really liking it.

  • This app is really cool!!

It’s really well thought out and designed, it has basic functionality that isn’t difficult to understand, the animations are snappy, and in my opinion it’s the best way to understand what the weather will be like. Easily 10 out of 5 stars.
  • Great first version

Excellent visualization of upcoming weather information. Hope to someday see a radar view added, especially with wind visualization like the old Storm app from weatherunderground. WU’s current app doesn’t show cloud cover, which matters to me, but Weather Strip does so, nicely. The height of the rain graph shows percentage chance of rain, but it would be nice if light versus heavy rain was depicted by paler or more saturated blue, as well.

It looks like a nice start to an app I hope to use for a long time. It will be interesting to see how Winter is shown; can’t tell yet because only USA locations are allowed, and it’s not Winter currently. I tried selecting northern Alaska, but the app crashed, and I needed to delete it to get it to stop crashing on launch. But it’s a v1.0, and I don’t live in Alaska, so not really a big concern for me. Looking forward to seeing how this app improves. Saw the announcement for it on nine2fiveMac.

Thanks for the suggestions! The blue bars along the bottom of the timeline indicate how hard it's expected to rain. (If there are no bars, that means only light rain is expected.) In the winter, there's a corresponding visual for the probability of snow and the expected inches of snowfall. Weather Strip also now includes multiple forecast providers to ensure there is always a valid forecast available.
