  • Way better! I can see and control our system from anywhere

Our carrier system just turned 8 years old, and I’m changing my review from 1 generous star to 5 stars for excellence. Improvements to this software turned our experience around. When our dual-fuel heat pump was installed, this app was useless. It would not connect to the bridge supplied by the nations largest cable provider, I had to use an extender. It would not stay connected, and when it did connect, changes to settings in the app did nothing to settings at home. With the same 7-year old thermostat installed back then, we can now remotely see and adjust everything. It has been working 100% of the time remotely. We use Apple devices, your results may vary.
Carrier, if you will PLEASE offer an upgrade to the thermostat itself, I’d buy one. Model SYSTXCCITC01-A is outdated in capability, with a low resolution display and 2.4 wireless. Thanks!

  • Meh

The app will display my settings so I know it is at least connecting to the thermostat but anything I set in the app does not get applied to my system. I always have to go to the thermostat and change the settings. So…I guess I can at least see the outside temperature on my phone. I’ve been through several updates and it has never worked. It would also be nice if Face ID could be enabled since it consistently loses the login. Not that it matters since I give up on using this app. Update: I installed the 1.4.4 update and finally changes I make in the app actually make it to the thermostat. It took several minutes for the change to propogate but in the previous versions they never did. It's getting better! Now if they would enable Face ID login. Update: Spoke too soon. Sometimes it works, other times no. Glad Carrier's equipment is not like this app.

Update: Still inconsistent. Works 70% of the time for a few weeks then quits working altogether.

Dear AnotherTnMtnMan, Thank you for reaching out! Could you please elaborate on what do you mean by "works 70% of the time"? Please drop us a note at resdigital@carrier.com mentioning the following: App store username Account username Serial number of the thermostat Sincerely, Carrier Home App Team
  • Horrible software

I really feel I made a mistake buying a Carrier system. Infinity was supposed to be the top of the line, and I’ve had nothing but trouble with it since it was installed and it was not cheap. Now I have to deal with this terrible software that just gets worse and worse with every update. Their servers disconnect all the time from the system and you can’t control anything. Then when it feels like it it comes back up on line. You can’t depend on it. Change the temperature and all of the sudden the actual room temperature goes down 1 degree, this is a sign of badly written software… I think there is some problem with their servers with this constant disconnection. I know its not my system as I have the fastest internet Fiber direct to the house connection you can get, and no other connection problems exist among the many iOT devices I have, no other product connected to the internet in my home has a problem except for this carrier Infinity wall control and this Carrier software that is supposed to control it. You guys need to start from scratch and build a usable controller software that doesn’t disconnect the user all the time.
