Thermostat
The thermostat and the app do not read each other once I have set the schedule it shows the same schedule on both but when its time for it to go to home mode it will show home on the app but on the thermostat it shows away. It is really frustrating because when I go home the house is cold and at night on sleep mode it goes into home mode please fix the problem I paid $675.00 for this thermostat because carrier equipment could not use ecobee.

Stopped working. Again. The app doesn’t let you control the temps.
I hate that I have no idea how to make this app control my thermostat. It’s almost like web cam…I can only SEE the current state. It takes zero direction from me no matter what I try to change. I can see the latest status. But if I try to update the temp or adjust the “hold until” time, nothing happens. The app will show my pending update for a little while, but doesn’t actually tell the unit to do anything. And eventually my pending update goes away & the app view reverts back to the thermostats settings, taking no changes. A long time ago you had the ability to “push” the communication from the app to the unit by hitting refresh or something like that. But no more. These technology failures are really disappointing, and becoming unacceptable. I’m starting to think I should invest in a different/3rd party WiFi thermostat. Which really stinks as I paid for a high efficiency, fully integrated system. However the CONSTANT app communication failure is becoming the only thing I can rely on right now. It’s a shame.

Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with our mobile app. Please feel free to email us at resdigital@carrier.com with your username and a brief description of the issue. Thank you for your patience and looking forward to hearing from you.
Alerts SEVERELY lacking
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change notification timeframe for loss of communication from 24hrs to an hour or LESS (or user controlled!) installations are NOT necessarily principal residences and notice of likely power outage is CRITICAL !!!
Competitor apps can notify within minutes and have user controlled options for REPEAT alerts every 15mins until resolved.
Let alone alerts for both high and low temp alerts etc etc etc
It is the 21st century….seriously, how tough can this be to implement or understand the need for !?

Terrible UI
Previous generation program (My Infinity) was WAY better. This is a classical example of a change being a step backward. The MyInfinity app was WAY BETTER. Bring back My Infinity!
2024 and still no smart home connectivity
Infinity is supposed to be Carrier’s premier residential product, but they insist on this terrible app.
It’s 2024 and they still don’t have a way for it to communicate through Apple Home or Google home. How is that possible?!
Lots of companies have found ways to add this functionality to older hardware through apps, but we’re stuck with a basic one. At least give us rudimentary voice commands through Apple/Goolgle. ‘Siri, turn up the temperature 2 degrees.’

The app doesn’t remember my thermostat
I have added the main panel (thermostat) to the app and the app keeps forgetting it. Every time I want to adjust the temperature in the app, the previously added thermostat is missing, and it forces me to walk to the main panel again to add it to the app. Same happens to my wife and som. Very frustrating .

Constantly going offline
The system was much better, but over the past few months the app keeps signalling me that the system hasn’t connected online and repeatedly sends error messages. I’m also unable to change settings in the app now.
It was a 4* app, and now it’s 1*, which is a shame.

Scheduling is wrong
The app can’t seem to get the correct time from thermostat. I’m eastern time. So shows 2-3 hours ahead. This causes massive issues with schedules .
Always get system offline
Sometimes the app works but mostly get system offline.
Making a new square wheel
The actual heat pump works well. We had to remove our previous google nest which had worked fine for temperature control. This app is so so disappointing. You can't have two users. If two people are logged in on the same account it doesn't work well or consistently map across. The schedule worked for the first week but not consistently after that. Often don't realize until we are asleep and then wake up baking hot at 3 am. I am really mad about this and would not choose this carrier again if I was starting from scratch.
