Good app but needs the option to toggle dark mode on and off. I like my menus in dark mode but with an astigmatism I prefer to do puzzle in light mode.
This might be my most-used app. No ads, simple and clean UI. Used to be kinda buggy but has been smooth for a while now.
I love the idea of this app which has some providers I can’t find elsewhere. However, typing in answers is very sluggish on my iPad Air 2. As a result, I have to very deliberately type each letter. If I type too fast, it will skip letters and I have to back up and correct. This seems specific to this app as I don’t have this issue elsewhere.

Thanks for the feedback. Can you submit this using the support link so I can look at fixing this?Really a great app, and the price can’t be beat. The one feature suggestion I have is to sync progress to my Game Center or other similar account. I’d love the ability to start a puzzle on my iPhone, then pick it up later in the day on my iPad when I’m back home.

I've marked this as a Beta feature on the app - please try it out and use the support link in the app store to notify me of any issues you see!Good crossword app, but dec 6 suddenly when you open the show errors option, it won’t close. Can’t do a puzzle anymore
Every once in awhile the app will download two copies of the same crossword. Then when you click on the crossword to open it, it shuffles through the duplicate crosswords and goes back to the menu, making it unplayable. As far as I can tell, no work around for this so I just have to wait until the next day to try again. When it does work, I really enjoy the app though.

I've attempted to fix the issue with duplicate crosswords - please let me know if you continue seeing this issue!One of the best designed ios crossword apps to date, however, the current settings selection is limited. With some tweaks and minor additions, the app could easily rival the NY Times crosswords.
Most of the changes would be simple, for example:
•having the puzzle scale with your phone’s screen size, so that you don’t have to zoom in our out
•adjustable hint size
•enabling error tracking should make it impossible to delete the correct letters

Easily worth a couple bucks.
Feature request: a little haptic feedback when I press the next/previous word buttons, or when I change directions. I think that would help me not make so many mistypes. (That way I quickly know whether I’m typing letters or navigating)
Also, this isn’t a big deal, but there’s an error tracking mode bug where a blank square gets highlighted red if you previously used the space bar to skip it.

Thanks for reporting this. The most recent version of the app allows for long clues to scroll inside the toolbar, so this issue is fixed now.
Edit: Thanks for the review! I've added support for haptic feedback on some of the buttons, and I've fixed some of the issues with the Space Bar.First off, awesome job creating this app. I’ve been looking for an alternative to Android’s Shortyz since I switched to iOS.
Features from other apps I’d like to see:
- Toggle showing/hiding the time
- Reveal letter, word, etc
- Progress indicators for each puzzle in the main screen (or at least whether or not the puzzle has been started)
- The “clue view” like in the NYT app
- Toggle whether Space skips cell or flips directions
- Highlighting linked clues
Also, I know you’re doing this for free right now, but if you ever decide to insert ads I’d be happy to pay for a premium ad-free version of the app if these features are added. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the feedback! I have added a setting to show/hide the timer and created progress indicators on the main list view. Revealing letters is already supported by long pressing on the cell. I'll keep the rest of your list in mind for future versions.
