Good tool
The app allowed me to update firmware using iPhone 16. I just waited a few mins and kept phone really close to the WIDI Master dongle. My setup of three MIDI devices worked well to pass clock wirelessly! Great tech!
Works nicely
Got this working in about 5 minutes with my iPhone 11 and and old Keystep with a flaky USB port. Power from a USB-C power bank with a 9V barrel jack adapter.

Crashes. Can’t create a group.
When I click on Download Group the app completely disappears.
UPDATE: (Does not) Break the device
UPDATE: the firmware update failed initially with an iPhone, but succeeded with an iPad. There seems to be a problem with Bluetooth cache in iOS. The device and app work great together.
INITIALLY: The firmware update is the only option you have when you start the app. I left mine “updating” for an hour. Then a message: “the firmware update was aborted”. The Wido device has been bricked. It no longer connects to the app. Both the device and the app work together in this moment to guarantee that nothing works.

Clunky and unreliable
I spend more time fussing with this app trying to get it to work than successfully using it. It’s super glitchy and unreliable. Has killed more flow states than I can count. I am about ready to give up trying to use this poorly executed product.
Not working
Spent £100 on widi products. App won’t acknowledge i’ve given bluetooth permissions and won’t firmware update. Nowhere to report bugs or request help from within the app. Not good enough

Version 1.5.2 works great for WIDI Uhost Bluetooth and USB firmware updates.
I haven’t tried WIDI group auto learn yet (need an additional WIDI Uhost for iOS devices with MacBook Pro 13” M1). I’ll add to this review when I do that.
