IMPORTANT iOS 15 UPDATE! Devices running iOS 15 above would see a weird off-white-ish coloured box on the top left corner of the widget, and that’s just horrible. I’ve seen it too, and it perplexed my as to why it occurs. I hated it as well, and understood that it would ruin the Sunlight experience… After lengthy sessions of debugging, somehow it’s due to the moon. When the moon is outside of the viewable area during specific periods of time, it is technically still rendered, just off the widget. In iOS 15, the moon comes at us as a weird box on the top, when that happens. Very sorry that I only found the fix now. Felt rather bad for that, actually. I hope this update makes up for it… I’ve checked if the moon should be rendered at all, based on viewable widget boundaries, fixing the issue. Also, would like to update a little on the future of Sunlight. A few months back, I’ve started rewriting parts of the code that shows the in-depth information - like when you click a location in app. That should improve scrolling performance, as version 1’s code isn’t the most refined. Some features like filtering only certain periods of time, like only sunrise/set on the widget, is also planned. That update might take a while though, as I juggle between life and Sunlight’s development. As always, hope you enjoyed using Sunlight, and please do have an awesome day ahead! If you have any feedback, or issues that you’ve found, do email me at vincent-neo(at)outlook.sg!

Moreover, the azimuth and angle altitude values are updated per second. This is a user contributed feature! Keep these ideas coming! Feel free to drop me a tweet or email from the contactable options listed in the settings of the app if you have any ideas for the app, and it could well be included in the next update! Reviews of Sunlight − Rise & Set Times

Is this for real?

I tried this app for 10 minutes and found it to be woefully inadequate.

Response from developer

Hi, it would be great if you could list out what features you were expecting that isn’t available so that the app could be improved. Otherwise, I believe I’ve made the description clear enough to have communicated on what features can be expected.

No actual widgets

The screenshots lead you to think there are home page widgets, but there aren’t.

Response from developer

Hi Chabotnick, I can assure you, that there is definitely widgets for the app. It’s basically one of the cores of the app. Sunlight wouldn’t have existed if widget support wasn’t announced in iOS 14. I believe what you are observing is a very common iOS bug where the widget fails to appear after the app is downloaded. You can try to either reinstall the app or restart your device. I have no control over that bug, and sincerely hope that you give Sunlight another try before leaving a 1 star review. Thank you.

Beautiful app

Well-designed and I love our the widgets dynamically change with the day

Response from developer

Really appreciate your kind feedback! I will strive to make the app better, thank you!
